What Suz, said

Janet, if you lived closer, I'd be sending you home cooked healthy food and walking the doggies with you. You look GREAT - super hip with the sandals! - and Sunny has a very good life! What a sweetheart.

I also, hereby crown you Queen Ripskirt.....

Hooray for pony tails, pets, and plants, they are saving our sanity! :). I know I'd be bonkers right now if I didn't have my gardens to dig around in and my boy Mickey to sit on my lap. And yes, I bow to Queen Ripskirt!

Yes - you’re looking more yourself today - glad to hear it was better all ‘round .

Style problems solved! I’m glad things are feeling a better today. YLF.

your latest outfit was lovely. It gives off a calm grounded energy. The color of the skirt brings out the color of your eyes.

Janet, so glad to hear that you are doing better today. Your Ripskirt outfit is on point, as always. Love the longer hair. I don't see a frizzy disaster, I see soft beautiful waves. Keep them! I too find that working with flowers on my deck offers me the opportunity to be mindful of the beauty around me even though I am a condo dweller in a big city.

Wow, you have really been dealt a lousy hand (or several of them) this year. :-(. Your fabulous style is not gone, it's just lying low because you are grieving so much. Things will look up at some point..and now that I'm getting ready to post this I see you have posted again with some more positive thoughts and an outfit that seems to feel more "you"...so good to see! Baby steps...:-)

Janet it is has been a horrible year. I can tell you how lovely you look, and that I like your hair and maybe that helps a bit but really it is a time and adjustment issue to your losses. Not that they will go away, but so that they don't take over. For me sunlight and a bit more strenuous than usual exercise helps to some degree (fwiw) .

Happy to see another Ripskirt outfit - more polished and more in the right mood!

Please give your self some TLC, you deserved it after all that happened this year. You do look great but I hope you feel that too. Some days will be better than others and that is OK.

No yoga pants, shoes that aren’t flip flops and no ponytail...in my neighborhood that makes you ready for a black tie affair Lol.
Seriously...just getting dressed in non loungewear is what passes for fashion in my world these days
YLF.

Yes to sandals with it- cause June
I see no frizz and no disaster! Ditto Anchie and kkards!

Great to see another rip skirt outfit. I have that same print and why I haven't thought of pairing it with black I don't know ! It looks lovely on you and I think the pony tail suits you.
Glad you're feeling better and more like yourself. 2020 has not been kind to you so far, here's to the second half being much better

I am so sorry this year has been a beast. I will gently say that I think you are too hard on yourself. You look perfectly pulled together for your outing. The skirt and the shirt are attractive. I like your wavy hair, but I do understand the put it up in a ponytail common sense approach to hair styling. When times feel challenging, we need to adapt and sometimes that means softening our expectations and approaches for how we usually do things.

Snakers to skirts (other than denim or chino-mean structured to knee length) is hard to do for me either! Is the skirt a knit or krepp- it may lay not only on the cut and length but on the fabric, too. Others adviced you so right, sandals-but I would ad especially mules will do better! Then, you always look great and you could never deny your artsy self, either-which I could identify see it right now -with the knoted shirt:-)- so keep up doing a great job in the garden and with that adorable doggie! YLF in your other wiw's posted later, too!

Janet. Your authenticity is one of your most beautiful features. I agree with all of the lovely advice and sentiments already shared, and your mood lift from outfit #1 to #2 is really apparent, just with the smallest of changes (like those amazing sandals!).

I want to add that I think RipSkirt should be paying you a commission! Got my 2nd one yesterday and love it even more than the first. Maybe I should be giving you a commission for giving me a summer of comfort and style?! THANK YOU.

Janet, I can't add much to the tremendous wisdom you've gotten so I'll just echo that you look absolutely beautiful, you don't *need* makeup, your hair looks terrific! It's been a brutal year. Take so much good and gentle care of yourself and cut yourself a huge amount of slack. It's okay for fashion not to matter for a season (not that anyone looking would be able to tell).

Crowd exposure anxiety is real. DS just went out for the first time the other day to a store. This is a teenager and it's been three months. It will be okay. Mask, hand sanitizer, don't be shy to keep as much distance as you need to feel comfortable. It is a leap of faith in many ways, but you and they are clearly being smart, cautious and respectful of everyone's health and well-being xx

Wow, now I really want one of those skirts! They look great although I agree that I would like the first better with sandals.

Sorry you have been down, but I agree with everyone that you don't look it. It is strange times right now for sure and that doesn't help.
