I managed to get a few occasion shots recently and, as ever, I over question my choices.
1. We went with our daughters (son too busy) to the recent production of The Magic Flute. I think it is an Australian production that combines animation with conventional opera. Pretty amazing.
Anyway, the star here are these silk pants - probably one of the most unique items in my unique closet.
Pants - Alexander McQueen for Givenchy Couture (1999)
Jacket as top - Vintage Dries van Noten
Boots - Angie dupe
Bag - Dooney & Burke
2. Sorry for the over exposed lighting and bad picture. Worn to Friday night dinner at friends.
Dress - Yves Saint Laurent Variation (80s)
Boots - Fendi riding boots
3. Me in my natural environment (charity shop mirror).
Top - Recently thrifted Hana San (third in my collection, she deserves more attention)
Jeans - J Brand boyfriend very old
Bag - Ba&sh also been in my closet for years
Shoe - Janet & Janet combat boots (recent amazing second hand find)

So the only thing mentioned that I bought new were the white boots - Angie can tell you when .
Seriously though, I was not incredibly satisfied with the first outfit in particular. I have some ideas but suggestions welcome for all of these.

All looks beautiful - fab silk pants ( I might consider repeating black in accessories - like a bracelet, earrings or watch ).
Glad you've had a great outing - pretty family picture!

#2 is EVERYTHING! Really like the styling (big cuff, combat boots) in #3. The classic jacket style in #1 competes with the soft and flowy velvet trousers. A plain tunic style in silk without details might be a more comfortable pairing. A dark colour might work better/accent the bold pattern of the trousers. (I’m thinking an ombré look with this outfit, dark on top, the trousers, and light on the bottom.). The white booties work just fine. I like how they pick up the lighter colour around the knee of the trousers.

I think the first outfit is outstanding. Not sure if I can help!

And the other outfits are great too. Unique and edgy.

Amazing looks as always, and your daughters are lovely! #2 is sublime -- I want those boots.

In #1, I find the white top maybe pulls attention away from the pants. A darker top might let the pants take the focus. For some reason, I also like the idea of seeing those pants with some kind of distressed leather jacket. Weather permitting.

Before I go I must add that I love your hair so much!

These are all breathtaking outfits on you. I love the first outfit (just swooning over the pants and jacket). If you are not fully satisfied, how about a different bag? Perhaps a clutch or a handbag which is not crossbody style to give the pants more of a spotlight?
No 2 is stunning.
No 3 - casual perfection. Love everything about it - Shevia style gorgeous. The boots are TDF.
You have beautiful daughters - what a lovely photo of the three of you!

I love them all but my favourite is picture 3 especially the boots. You are so stylish no matter what you wear. You always find amazing items. Most second hand shops where I live (Dublin) have very little designer items.

Shevia, I think nr 1 is good as it is, love your pop of whites- all 3 of you in blacks would have been so predictable- being the proud mama of the two gorgeous(&edgy!) girls there it's really great to see you in another color scheme and style-and those pants are gorgeous, indeed.
Love the other 2 outfits, too! Fendi boots are a dream!

I like all of these - no advice! Love #3 with the cuffed jeans and combat boots the most, casual hip.

I really like the outfit in #1. So sophisticated. I might've gone with a smaller bag (if I could fit all my stuff in it.)

I love them all. #1 is so dressy, but still looks comfy. You have nailed the cuffed jeans look in #3.

Geez, your hair is everything! No suggestions from me - I love it all. The dress and boots outfit is my fav though. Fendi riding boots?? That's it, I'm moving to Israel for the second hand markets.

Outfit #1 steals the show, Jaime! KILLER AMAZING, and please believe it! Those pants are divine! White is your neutral. And wearing them with the white boots makes me smile….as does seeing your beautifully grown up twins, who look as stylish as Mama!

More hair love from me. You can high five Greg, who has the same hair! And those blue hoop earrings are SUBLIME.

How fun to see you enjoy ‘80s and ‘90s stuff. Very satisfying!

Forgot to mention that the white bag has me swooning too…....yeah.....I need to borrow it.....

All outfits are fantastic — Trying to see what you saw, I wonder about a different color of bag, or maybe a top that’s matte, not shiny? I have a wild patterned pair of pants from Attic & Barn that I’ve never found the right top for. I understand the challenge!

Fab outfits as always, I particularly like the first and second outfit!

If you ever want to replicate the first outfit with the silk trousers, I wonder if the crossover bag could be replaced with a different bag (ie clutch).

I love these Shevia and have no real suggestions as I think you have nailed it. I like the white with the silk trousers - but agree black will also work and I could see moody blush or lilac or blue maybe as well. The black tall boots are gorgeous.

And you look happy and relaxed in your natural habitat.

Your closet is a magical, wondrous place! Each outfit is stellar, to my eye! I think the DVN jacket pairs beautifully with the AMcQ for Givenchy (swoon!) silk pants! If you wanted to tweak, I would probably sub in a different bag like a clutch, so the jacket and pants draw the eye the most. And then we move on to a YSLV dress (beautiful) and Fendi boots (also very beautiful!). This is a gorgeous look on you, and perfect for going out with friends. it's elegant but sexy, if you don't mind me saying so :). The last look is a beautifully coherent, casual look--love the bag, the jeans, the new boots, and the top! I love wearing blue with blue jeans, and adding an accessory or two in a complementarily shade, so this is so up my alley!

And of course your hair is really fantastic, and your daughters look so cute and happy to be out with their mom!
