If you can't beat it, get out your wintery pieces and enjoy them one last time! DD suggested using my blush satchel to lighten things up - I'll wear my blush winter scarf to match when I head out. What do you think? Too much for a regular day with the velvet? Too dark? How could I have added some contrast to this dark column. Please forgive my gray roots!

I think we have those seasons in the US too-but your snow makes me sad! I like the blush with the burgundy, and think velvet is fine anytime Maybe a blush coat?

Wow Canada has so much winter weather. Australia is like you, just swap winter for summer. I am still wearing my summer gear. I love the burgundy velvet pants and would be wearing multiple toppers given the weather.

We just have winter and summer. Spring and Fall are a blink of an eye. You look very nice for such a wintery day. Velvet? Perfect.

This is so much fun! We are now in Spring of Deception I think. Two years ago I bought a linen Spring coat which has been worn exactly twice. I looked at it this morning and thought maybe I could put a cashmere turtleneck under it. Delusional, I know....

You look gorgeous. I quite like this time on the forum when we are all in transitional seasons so we can all wear a bit similar weights of clothing. In NZ it is well into autumn but still fairly warm so our summer clothes are having their last gasps! I got a tiny bit cold out at a meeting last night though.

Colour combo looks great, Helena, considering all of that snow . Boo I have packed away all of my wools and winter fabrics - weather be damned. I just can't do it at it this time of year, regardless of the temps. Whatever works to get us through this last push 'til spring though

Hi all, and thanks everyone for the kind words! Thought you'd get a laugh out of the exact same streetscape from my porch today - literally two mornings later. Birds are chirping and skies are blue. I don't rule out fourth winter though! Canadian weather is RIDICULOUS.

Adding blush was a great idea. Velvet any time. Why not? I loved your title. We have also had third winter and could easily have a fourth winter in May. I can't put away boots yet or wool. Blush to the rescue! Now to find some blush weatherproof booties.
