WIW - for five minutes of spring

Well, it was fool's spring in my town today - the weather crept above freezing, with no wind and lovely sunshine, such that one believes spring might come early but then realizes the weather is set to plummet overnight *sigh*

Never mind, today is a day for cropped pants, bare ankles and my new leopard top (having somehow dripped concealer on the striped one - right on the white stripe of course) for a walk with my SIL. I can't wait to wear this top with white jeans and cognac belt and flats when things get less sloppy.

In case you think I'm bonkers to bare ankles when it's 3 degrees C out, I'll just say I've seen more than one pair of shorts on men today.

About the bare ankles—we’ve had a couple days with highs around 60. I’ve gone out in a short cord skirt during the warm part of the day, don’t think I’ve seen anyone else’s knees.

I saw a man in shorts yesterday!!!! So weird.

I love this outfit and especially that leopard top. You really find amazing things at Old Navy.

Such a lovely look, Helena. Button fly jeans are so cute and the leopard top is perfect with them. Meteorological spring on March 1 usually corresponds with the unveiling of winter legs in shorts...at least for many guys in Seattle.

Spring in Canada: " wow , plus 8C ! Just kidding, tomorrow is -10C." Is this the other ON top you just bought? It's SO cute on you! I thought it was a short sleeved camo print when I first looked at it. Duh.

It's above 0 here today too - Hunter boots weather now.

Super cute! I really like this new top and have a bit of the wantsies. Yesterday was -18 here during my walk and today a ton of new snow and 0. That is enough to bring out the shorts for many. In fact the purolator guy got stuck on our street last week during a storm. He hopped out of his truck in shorts and the snow was past his knees. I’m still chuckling over that one.

I myself resolved to not spend the next 3 months wondering whether it's spring or not and just enjoy whatever good weather we get, one day at a time. Then promptly refused a walk with my husband because it was -7. But I have no problem walking in cold winter weather in January and February, in fact I love it.

My sons wear shorts all year - okay here it rarely gets below 0 C so maybe similar to your spring. Shorts and a puffer are rated as a combo.

Angie, I am trying to resurrect an old blush bag that got a bit squashed; if that's failure, then I will look for something new as that one was a work horse (back when "leaving the house" was a thing) ... it's faux suede, so the combo of light colour and warm texture worked well for transitional times.

Glory, it's inexpensive to start with, and I think in the US it was on sale for like $9, so you could definitely indulge your wantsies

Lisa, yes this is it - they have another one in a more earth-toned leopard print, just saying I started following an Instagrammer called @allthingscharo (I think that's it); she's in BC and features lots of cheap and cheerful finds available in Canada, mainly from ON, Joe Fresh and H&M, but she has great taste imo and a knack for making things look expensive, so she's a good one to follow. I would have never picked this but followed her reco.

Thanks all for the kind comments; funny about all our different tolerances for the weather; it's all relative, isn't it?

Looks lovely! And yes, I wore bare ankles when it reached 1C too - it feels so warm and the sun is so lovely to see! (My kids were among those in shorts and flip-flops).
