WIW - first time wearing the new sandals

I'm wearing my new sandals for the first time today and I already know that these were a good buy. I've also decided to make peace with the crease and keep wearing this skirt even though the fabric creases like mad. Also wearing one of my Oma's rings that I've been wearing a lot lately. Only problem with this is that it's gold and I don't feel like my (silver) watch looks good with it...

Oh yes, love the sandals with this outfit. So glad you got them. I like the soft greeny tones (at least, the skirt looks a bit green on my monitor) and the denim.

Oh good. I'm glad you got these. They should be workhorses for you this year.

You know I make metals all the time now because I've been getting into gold while my wedding rings and Favorite watch Are silver or so I just say ehh.

Thanks Diane! Yes, the skirt is green. Kind of a light soft sage green, very pretty.

Thanks bj1111. Maybe it's more that the leather strap is a bit harsh next to the jewelry. I now have the deep blue band on my silver and white watch (the pink one has taken a beating) and the ring is gold with three orange stones.

Thanks Texstyle! There were very comfortable so far. I haven't done as much walking today as I do on other days but I think they might be comfortable enough for those days too.

Oh good, I'm glad they're comfortable. And I like them more too, now that I see the whole outfit put together. Love your crease-y skirt too, that way it doesn't look like polyester. You look look marvelous!

Great. On top of being pretty, these look like very walking-friendly sandals too.

About the creases on the skirt, do you think it might stop being an issue when it gets really warm and sunny and bright. I used to hate linen purely for creases, but I found that moving to Germany and having proper summer and all that brightness, actually makes those creases less prominent and even less stuffy-looking. It's a pretty skirt in any case and worth keeping at least until you locate the replacement that won't have the issues you had identified.

Ornella, it's not linen but a rayon cotton mix with cotton lining. It looks like hell coming out of the wash and I definitely need to iron it to make it wearable. It creases a lot wearing it, especially when sitting down. But I just like the length, color and the flare.

Angie, I normally don't wear gold jewelry, but I really like the style of this piece and of course it's special because of the memories. I've started to wear my small gold studs with it too, instead of silver ones.
