I finally reached for the Bernardo moto jacket yesterday! I like the play of the warm leopard print with the bright blue cobalt sweater that I got in Santa Fe last spring (it has super long sleeves with thumb holes which you can see in the last pic with the vest). I added an animal print scarf I got in Africa and a necklace from Italy that I gave my mom, which is now mine again. Tomorrow marks 11 years she has been gone, so she’s on my mind a lot lately.
It was quite chilly in the morning so I threw on my Zara faux shearling vest for outerwear. Pics show each stage of layers. Layers were very practical yesterday as I attended an event in an old mill building, and climate control in those places is always a big question mark.
Bonus pics of what I made at the event, hosted by and artist friend of mine. She taught the group how to make a Japanese stitched bound book, and how to marble paper. The marbling was especially fun, since I have loved marbling pretty much forever. I was really happy how this pattern turned out.
