Here's what I wore today to see the new X-Men with a friend. It was great. I wore my denim jacket like a sweater most of the time, buttoned and with the sleeves rolled. I was fine temperature wise, although it was quite warm the few times the sun came out...

And I took a detour on the way home and had another look at the Olympus XZ-2. I'm not able to take the plunge, but I'm going back to it again and again.

I love the way you have used the denim jacket as top Astrid. I think I am going to try this with my flared midi skirts. The scarf is the perfect touch of print :). I don't know much about camera makes lately, but looks like you love it. Anything that you keel thinking about should surely walk home

Thanks, Neel! The scarf is an old favourite that I hadn't used for some time. It's very useful with the black in the pattern. The new X-Men just started Thursday, here's the trailer. We saw it in the Original Version.

This is a wonderful outfit. The denim jacket looks to be just the right length to do this with your full skirt and the black and faded denim look so fab together.

Hi, Astrid. So cute! I love the way you're wearing your scarf. It looks breezy and chic, and the pattern is set off so well against the dark background. Just the right amount of interest from texture and pattern here.
I'm out of touch on the forum, but are you feeling pulled toward buying a camera? Be careful....I am talking from experience that this is a dangerous hobby to get started on

So cute Astrid! As always, you have a fabulous scarf there Plus it's super with the patterned tights.

(In case you didn't see my answer to your camera question, I got the Cannon Powershot S120 as a replacement. It's the current upgraded version of the one I broke, so far I like it. Similar interface, decent sensor, and much improved color contrast. Nice solid case. It's still on the lower spectrum for optical zoom, but that is OK with me.)

Thanks Mochi! And I know how it goes... I need a replacement for my old DSLR that is about seven years old. My everyday lens gave up on me and the other one I have (a prime lens) isn't usable for everyday stuff. I thought about getting a new lens, but the options in my budget weren't quite right. I want to have a camera I can use on the three week trip to Scotland, that's the reason why I'm doing SYC right now. I thought about getting a compact system camera, but then I could only afford the lens that usually comes with it and the temptation would be very high to spend more money on a different lens (or two...) later on. I don't want to spend that kind of money for camera stuff at the moment, so I thought I would get an enthusiast compact camera instead. But I'm still hesitating because I'm wondering whether I might not miss the option to change lenses after all...

Thanks Aida! And thanks for posting it here, I hadn't seen it yet. I had a look at the S120 in the store and it seemed to be a nice little camera. But it is still more expensive than I would like, especially in comparison with the Olympus that is marked down so much.
