Janet - Shorts and boots can certainly be a seasonally confused outfit. I actually have another seasonally confused outfit I'm thinking about trying this week (corduroy with sandals). It's fun to experiment. You have a lovely collection of dresses this summer, which is a really nice alternative to sporting shorts! How fun that you were able to cull some shorts to make room for more dresses or pants for your summer wardrobe.
JAileen - Boots and shorts does require the "right" temperature for the day. It's a fun combination to wear, but not something that I think will be in heavy rotation for me. But I enjoy trying out a few unexpected combinations this fall, because why not!
