WIW - Fail but too late to change

I am running too late so not much time. I tried this with the purple jacket and the visual weight of the color looked off. The booties are too light for the dark tights and dress but I have to get moving so can`t do a full change. I changed out the jacket to a taupe one and hope bookending helps with the color. These booties (Born) make the ball of my left foot ache but I bought gel inserts to test out. Hopefully it will help.

Deciding what to wear but must run now. I am way late but it will be a long day so that is okay.

hmmm, the lighter jacket does seem better, but honestly, I'd switch out to black booties if you have them and work on perfecting the look with the light booties later.

Holy moly, do you ever look TALL when you pop on a pair of heels! There go those forever legs! I hope the shoes don't bother you today. And I love your look!! (Hey, it involves TAUPE!!) But seriously, it works really well. With your long (proportionately) legs, the booties and dark tights work just fine and bookending is also great.

I think you did well in changing the jacket, because it goes really well with your shoes.

I actually think both work, but yes, the taupe jacket version is the best. You look gorgeous in taupe and those booties are fab. Hope the gel insert helps!

QM, I don't have black booties yet but was planning to find a pair in the next week or two. I think black will work better with my wardrobe and I do wear patterned black tights a lot in winter.

Thanks Suz. I have been following your taupe-ification and realized that although I don't much like beige, I do like taupe and use it often in decorating. I bought this suit (pants come with it) a few months ago and so far have only worn the jacket but will work on bringing it into rotation. I like black with taupe too.

The dress is a piece of a skirt suit. I got the skirt, jacket, and dress. It doesn't show but the dress has a bit of a fishtail in the center panel as does the purple jacket so would either have looked good with the repeat or silly and overdone. I will definitely wear the purple jacket again as I do love it and it fits really well.

It is 11:00 and my feet are a slight bit achy but I haven't worn heels in months so that is to be expected. Much better than without the inserts. A co-worker calls it granifying the shoes.
