@Mandipa - Oh, it would be so much fun to meet over latte! Hopefully bigger than I got at the farmer's market. And yes, I say $7 was overpriced. I could have gotten way way more at Starbucks for less money. It was a Dixie cup of latte and shrunken kouign aman. I could have buttered and sugared a piece of whitebread and rolled it up and it would have been practically the same thing and free. Lol.
@Claire - Now if it had been a bottomless cup, many problems would be solved. No more fussing with the coffeepot weekday mornings!
@Anna - My tribe my tribe! And they call themselves that too, but via à la post post modernist ruminations... It's painful really, the post post modernist ruminating.
@Angie - Steampunk meets Ralph Lauren! Ohmigosh, someone gets it!!! I have been understood! Lol, but sadly true ;>
@bj1111 - *really quirky post punk post boho post post* Are you a secret anthropologist studying my tribe in the field? 'Cuz that's them... post post, ahaha! ETA: Ohmigosh, did I not just finish saying that to Anna?
@vildy - We can only wish we were the Pacific Northwest... who we think is copying us anyways... but really it's just that a lot of us have invaded up there to the dismay of the Pacific Northwesterners... which, I think, makes us the Anti-Tribe. But, like, if only we could have a Cowichan sweater like The Dude...
@caro - You have introduced me to a new term: lagenlook! Never knew there was a term for it, but that's it. I'm surrounded by lagenlook. I need to study the history of this style more!
@Raisin - Thank you! Funkiness is important to EBA style. Key even. Btw, that's a great handle, Raisin!
@Shannon - Thank you for the props! Re. attitude... It's a funny thing leaving the EBA for the first time when you're young... You just have no clue as to how EBA folk let it ALL hang out there and how the rest of the world keeps it to themself, like decent people. Lol.
@kellygirl - Everyone needs a hat! If not Edwardian, there's always the Rasta cap... ;>
@Denise - I *am* a professional writer, but I do technical and scientific documentation. The stuff that makes people's eyes glaze over... Ohmigosh, the right-leaning non-ironic Christmas sweater! EBA folk are not allowed near anything non-ironic. They explode...
@Rae - That's right! Represent! (with fist pump ;>)
@Suz - You know, Suz, you really do have a serious avant garde streak to see possibility here... hehe.
@ceit - I'm glad you're not simply horrified at the native wear. It's pretty kooky.
Ok. That's right. Represent!
