WIW - Dresses and Casual Weekend Outfit

Here's a few recent outfits. I don't have many to post because I've had some real duds lately and some that didn't photograph well.

#1 - Maxi dress with thrifted blazer. I know many forum members have a poison eye towards maxi dresses but I love the one I have. So comfy and versatile.

#2 - Resolution for 2013 - No more dresses that are too short! I really need to stay away from these jersey type dresses that always end up too short and lose their shape.

#3 - Casual weekend outfit with corduroy leggings and tunic top. This was more flattering in real life.

I love the ikat patterning on that maxi! I think the boots/shoes don't play well with this look though. Cute blazer, I love the pintuck detailing.

2 is great, love those rust tights on you!

3 looks cozy and comfy, you look really nice in those yellowed greens.

#2 is my favorite. I love the scarf and the tights as accents to the dress. I also like the all over print of #1 which is toned down with a serious black jacket.

Chuckling about your resolution. I think you did well with this dress, though, and made it a fun outfit. And I love the simple integrity of #3.

I love that green wrap style sweater in your casual outfit in pic #3! Gorgeous colour and style on you Sara - extremely flattering.

Even though you think the jersey dress is a bit short, it works well with the tights and boots.

Looking good! You might try rolling up the sleeves of the jacket in number one a little bit more to expose more arm. Another idea is to try woven Skinnys instead of leggings, especially if worn to work. Number two looks especially cozy.

Gosh, torontogirl, this is a really old post that somehow got resurrected. I'm pretty sure the shirt was from Newport News although I don't have it anymore. I always had to pin the wrap neckline and finally decided to get rid of it since I didn't like messing with the neckline all the time.
