WIW - Dress Challenge Day 1 & 2

Photo 1-3 Here is my summer dress for Tuesday - a bit chilly hence the cardi (which despite the photo is actually purple) which matches the colour of my shoes & toe nails - is that matchy, matchy or what? I added a belt for waist emphasis. Amethyst ear rings and Pandora charm bracelet. This is my nod to the 1950s.

Action shot included - DS more awake than yesterday but a bit quick off the mark with the camera.

Photo 4-6 Here's what I wore on Monday. I love the floaty feminine feel of this dress - for some reason made me think 1970s disco aka Saturday Night Fever. I paired it with taupe wedges and bag and I also wore my favourite silver heart ear-rings and pendant chain.

Sorry got DS out of bed to take the photos he wasn't quite awake so they're not his best work.

Love, love, love! You can certainly rock a dress. The purple cardi, sandals and toes are beautful. Very fifties, and fab jewelry too.

I adore the black and white dress in 1-3!!!! WOW!!! the matchy purple is fun with it too. I never think about pairing taupe with black and white, it works really well--good thing to remember

You look beautiful in this style of dresses, Kiwichick! The first one does have that retro 1950s vibe with the gorgeous floral print frock, the belt and cardi, so fab. Love you in purple too:-) I also love the flowy fabric, print and soft vibe of the second dress.

Moira - I liked dresses on other people but not me. However now I've dipped my toes in the water I may never wear trousers again (easy to say when the weathers warm - may change my mind come Winter).

Those dresses are gorgeous, you look gorgeous. Yeh, you give me hope. On my first WIW recently one of the outfits was my one and only dress, bought this year, and some people commented that I should get more dresses. Can I ask what brand they are, so that I can lookout in Oz?

Hi carolbee - they are all thrifted - can't find anything in the stores currently that are long enough so I have been scouring Trade Me(like E-Bay) and Thrift shops.
