WIW - Day 2 of no frump: leopard and leather

I'm not sure about today's outfit. Something about it seems off, I feel like the boots shorten my legs and the top is hitting at an unflattering spot. Anyway, I'm dressed now, so I'm wearing it! Haha!

These are the leopard jeans from ON that were similar to the Current and Elliott ones I liked, but only $20. Pairing them with the leather sleeved top. I find this top looks a lot less flattering in photos than in person, so maybe that's what is throwing me off. The shape looks off in the photos, I guess because the black photographs poorly. Took a bit of inspiration from Pinterest. I do have a similar blue shirt, maybe I should have tried that instead. Oh well, next time!

For sure Ramya! I'm probably being picky. I'm not changing tough, just noticing things. I do also feel like it's more in the photos, so maybe that's what gets me. Thanks!

I LOVE this outfit! I kind of love that the hem in the back is longer but shorter in the front. Doesn't truncate the leg line but still provides some coverage. With some black booties for Winter, you're golden.

Rae, there are no unflattering spots on you! I think this looks good as is. If you wore flats or gray boots, it probably wouldn't seem as leg shortening to you. I love the asymmetrical hemline on your leather sleeved top, and it looks great the way you're wearing it, but did you try it with the semi-tuck like in the photo? I'll bet that would look good too.

Rae, this looks good. I think your black booties would work better to elongate your leg line, but this isn't a bad look at all! I think a blue top and your blue oxfords would be cute, or your Joie top and your white oxfords

I like the skinnies, I think you will have a lot of fun with them

I think that Danier top is stunning on you Rae and having seen it in person, I know how beautiful it is. Don't worry about how it photographs. It pairs beautifully with the leopard skinnies (which look amazing on you BTW). I agree that booties probably would have elongated your leg line more, but I also think the boots bookend the top brilliantly. No worries on this outfit - YLF!

Looks good to me too. I don't see 'off' and I think we probably are highly critical of ourselves. You could try booties but the boots you have on aren't exactly knee high either. I love the high low top and you look sooo slim.

That's definitely not a frumpy outfit! I love the boots with it and don't see it as leg-shortening at all. Edgy and put-together. Love it!

I think this is great and those jeans are fab on you. I think wearing a lighter color bootie will make your leg line look longer if that is what you are after. You look rocker cool as is. Seems like these are a great transition jean--light color and fun print. You make ON jeans look very posh!

The boots add a little toughness, and they ground the look, if you know what I mean. The inspiration photo is a lighter look, also fab. Of course, wearing pumps around the house? Not so much.

I love your outfits (today and yesterday.) Could you share the care instructions on your Danier top - I love it so much, but I don't know how to take care of a sweater with leather sleeves. You look fab!

I think it looks great as is. No need to change anything! However, since you mentioned it a contrasting boot will visually shorten anyone's leg. I think your legs look long enough so no problem. If you don't like it then you could wear a grey boot or lower vamp shoe. Also a tucked or semi tucked top would lengthen the leg but again you don't need to you look great.
