WIW - crops, lace up sandals, tunic, sundress ETA Update

Sorry, I haven't been commenting much - just been super busy at work and I've been spending lots of time outside when I'm home. I'm wearing glasses because I'm having LASIK surgery tomorrow (kind of scared so trying not to think about it). I know my glasses aren't flattering but there's no point in getting new ones at this point.

#1 - New white crops from JAG. I love these pull on pants - so comfortable and I never tuck so the waistband doesn't bother me. Also new lace up sandals. I've been loving the lace up trend this spring and I don't have sandals in this color. What do you think of the crop length? Good or not good?

#2 - New tunic thing from Zara (actually I bought it several months ago but it wasn't quite warm enough to wear until recently). I tried this on with the new crops as well and really liked the outfit although I didn't get a picture.

#3 - New sundress from the clothing swap a while back. I think it looks better in person. This isn't a great picture.

Oh I really love the Zara tunic! #1 is summery gorgeous! Those sandals are really fab.

Good luck for your surgery, Sara. My sister got LASIK done last year and says it's the best thing she ever did. I'm tempted to do it too. But I know I'm going to really goof up with the aftercare because the doc told my sister "Stay away from pet hair". How am I ever gonna manage THAT with 2 dogs?!

Yes 1 is very good and the shoes I love them. Do you feel like the sole is thin? I am scared to get things like this because I'm rough on shoes.

My cousin had Lasik a while back she said it is one of the best moves ever made.

Really nice, love that Zara tunic. I haven't been tempted by the lace-up style because I think the tie would bug me but these some of the cutest ones I've seen. And I love that those jeans are elastic waist but still look stylish!

Lovely soft shades all around, Sara! I adore #1 on you. The Zara tunic is cute and I can see it working nicely with the bottom half of the first outfit, too. GREAT looking sandals. Those seem like they could be worn with everything! The dress looks cute, even if the photo isn't the best of it; so hard to find those sun dresses with actual, you know, straps these days. So many skimpy ones out there! The variegated stripes and cheerful colors are really fun.

Good summer colors. I hope the Lasik goes well. I thought about it for awhile till I realized I would need reading glasses anyway. It will be so nice to just get up and go! Did you do both eyes at once?

Sara, I had LASIK over 15 years ago. I was terrified. But it went very well and I've never regretted it.

I really like the monochromatic look in #1. Very nice.

I have to jump straight to the part about lasik - I had it about 5 years ago, hmm, maybe more, and it was a great decision. Saved me from bifocals, so paid for itself within a year. Best of luck with that!

I had lasik 11 years ago -- very happy with it, although I think I need to have my left eye "tweaked" again. At 52, I don't need magnification to read anything but, say, the ingredient list on a lipstick case or pill bottle. This is very important for a musician -- reading music is a big part of my day!

I'm not trying to boost this post, it's just that I realized I never answered questions. I thought I had but probably got distracted.

I had both eyes done at once. Since I'm close to the age where reading glasses start to become necessary, my eye doctor and the eye surgeon both recommended monovision. One eye was corrected for distance and one for reading. I will probably still need reading glasses at some point but this will prolong that necessity. My parents both had the same correction about 15 years ago and my dad at 69 still doesn't need reading glasses. I wore monovision contacts for about 6 weeks before the surgery to get used to how that felt.

The eyes are feeling fine now almost a week later. Maybe a little scratchy but hardly noticeable. I'm sooo looking forward to pool and beach time this summer without having to worry about glasses or contacts.
