WIW - Cropped pants, tube skirt

Here are a few outfits from last week.

#1 - cropped pants with striped top and white heels
#2 - tube skirt and sleeveless blouse. I think the blouse might be too long and is throwing off the proportions.
#3 - Mesh sweater (no contrasting tank with this outfit) and burgundy pants. These pants aren't quite this dark IRL, they just don't photograph quite right.

No Domino in these photos. We have a new puppy which she is not happy about and so her routines are messed up. Hopefully she adjusts soon because I'm tired of her hissing at the puppy constantly. It doesn't help that the puppy thinks chasing Domino is a great game. I'm really not sure how to fix the problem between the two of them.

Hi Sara,
You look good. I really like the tube skirt combo!
Don't worry about Domino and the puppy too much. They will sort it out. It will help if Domino has a "safe place" free from the puppy to regroup. Also, you can let the puppy know that chasing Domino is not ok - they learn pretty quickly

Sara, I really love that patterned tube skirt on you. I know I say it every time.

I'm sorry that Domino is all flustered! Hopefully time will make her and the puppy better friends, or at least able to tolerate each other.

These are all so fab! Love how you paired the Breton top with olive bottoms. I would never have thought of that. The white sandals really make it look fresh. Great patterned skirt and I love the pairing in 3. The colors may be dark but the open pattern on the sleeves makes it look summery. Gorgeous.

Coincidentally, we are going to start fostering a dog at the end of the week. I'm a little nervous about how our "only" cat is going to react. Are you crating the dog at night? I'm planning on keeping the dog's accessibility limited for the first week (or two) and crating him at night to make sure Davey doesn't feel put out. Fingers crossed. Good luck to you!

Oh these are great!
I especially love the burgundy pants with the leopard shoe! The mesh sweater lightens it just the right amount to wear right now.
Also love your green sandals with that green top and tube skirt.

We are dealing with the same, 15 year old Rollie cat is not thrilled that we brought rambunctious Roy kitten into the household. But, a couple months in, Rollie is getting more tolerant of him!

I love outfit #1 and #2 is a close second. Not to mention I really like mixing leopard with deep wine. You look great! Cats are so independent. I think it drives them crazy for nearly anyone/any animal to push themselves on them too much. Domino will learn his boundaries.

I also wouldn't worry - unless Domino wants to pick the puppy up and shake. The puppy has to learn. When we had Little Hess (pic below), it was really funny to see Lilypup run from this tiny little thing. The Big Bad Dog afraid of The Wee Puppy.

Oh, I did have a thought just now... I would direct my corrections to the puppy, make her lay off. It's the puppy that has to learn boundaries and respect.

Great transitional looking outfits! Warm, but with moodier colors. I vote semi-tuck the top with the tube skirt in #2; if the waist is high, you can get a cool arced draping effect from the semi tuck by tucking just the end in and letting the rest poof out.

No real advice re the critters, but I agree with Rachy: the pup needs to learn the boundaries. My older cat was very upset the first time he met my sister's little dog, who also likes to chase. Kitty chased Puppy back once, then gave her such a stare that she threw up on the spot. Now that Puppy and Kitty both know that Kitty is the boss, they have a perfectly serviceable tenuous relationship

kellygirl - We are crating her at night. At first she hated it but she's adjusted now. She very rambunctious and energetic and seems oblivious to the other animals' attempts to teach her boundaries. Our cat is not declawed and has swiped at the puppy several times and two minutes later she's back bothering the cat.

DH thinks she's dumb as a box of rocks, but I think she's just young (she's only 4 months old) and will eventually learn.

Aida - That's a great idea about how to tuck the shirt. The waist of the skirt is pretty high and I didn't think a normal tuck looked good at all.

Great outfits! The tube skirt has become my fallback. And your ankle pants look to be the perfect length. Sorry about Domino - we just let our cat smack the dog around a few times and the lesson was learned, but she is a very tolerant cat.

Great outfits! Growing up my cat never stopped glaring at my dog, but my dog did learn to keep her distance.
