I was at a conference outside my usual field this week that specified "business" dress. Which, as many of you can probably tell from my usual outfit posts, I don't do often. Fabbers gave me some great advice a couple of weeks ago when I panicked about what to wear.

I didn't get a picture of the first day, but here's what I wore the second and third days. The temperature dropped into the 50F range and it was rainy both days, so my main motivation became comfort and warmth. Also, while many of the men were wearing suits, women of all ages (and younger career-stage men) had a much wider range that included more business casual looks, so I didn't feel out of place in these outfits.

Outfit 1) Loft blazer and top, BR trousers, Munro booties, JCrew belt. Added the MK trench that several a fabbers bought at NAS and grabbed my Kate Spade bag from last year. I could have worn dressier shoes, but these were better for walking around in the rain than any of my flats.

Outfit 2) Loft dress, green Vince jacket, Munro booties. Same coat and bag as the previous day. The dress is old and doesn't get a lot of wear, but comes in handy for events like this. I was going to add a statement necklace but they always get in the way of your badge, so I went without.

No matter how many conferences I go to, I always find myself second-guessing what to wear. I guess because my daily life is so casual. Also I always feel a little boring? What do you think and is there anything you would change? Thanks for looking and comments/suggestions welcome!
