WIW - colored skinnies

Una's post this morning reminded me that I never wear my colored skinnies, so I wore them today! These are actually a sized up "legging".
Now that I see the photo, I'm unsure of the boots with the pants. When I looked down at them after I put them on, they looked like a good match. I suppose I should have taken the photo this morning!

Scarf - tag long gone
Sweater - Inhabit
Belt - Ralph Lauren
Jeans - Rag and Bone
Boots - Fiorentini and Baker

ETA: Not sure if you can see in the photo that the pants are maroon.

I will leave the boot/legging issue to those with more experience, since I struggle with this same issue, but I just have to say I really, really love the sweater, belt and scarf combo! So much texture and subtle pattern!

Love this look! So laid back yet put together! The boots work perfect to my eyes as well with the bookending with the hat. The belt and scarf are a sophisticated touch.

I like it! I think the maroon color is more neutral than other colors.

Maroon is so versatile I almost think of it as neutral, and this is a gorgeous palette! Love the whole look.

Those skinnies look great on you with that sweater and belt. I like the booties with the maroon of the pants. It could be the different way the shine of the leather of the boots and the flatter colour of the pants just pick up the lighting from the camera differently to make you think they look closer in colour in person. In any event I really like the way they work together. I love a hat too and this one really works with your outfit and hair.

The pants and boots are a great pairing -- they harmonize well together! I think you've done really well here.

Have you tried tying the scarf like an infinity scarf? I think it would flatter the neckline of the sweater. I do like it the way you have it now, too.

Beth Ann, that's funny that you suggested tying the scarf differently, because I've been wondering about different ways to tie scarves, and tried yesterday morning with mixed success. I almost took two photos, each with a different scarf tying. I just did a search here, and found a scarf tying tutorial, so we'll see what I come up with!
