I headed back to the US for a little over two weeks for the holidays and had to leave lots of room in my suitcase for gifts, so I packed a fairly minimal casual capsule since all our events were low-key this year. The one exception was that DH and I had our anniversary during the trip so we went out for dinner (pic #4 below). I also, in keeping with my resolutions, did only a minimal amount of shopping.

Travel capsule consisted of:
Two pairs jeans
One pair leggings (for travel days)
One cardigan
Two sweaters
A weeks worth of layering tees/tanks
Timberland boots
Black ballet flats
Foley & Corinna tote (I love it for travel because it's big enough to hold my ipad and headphones on the plane)
Ann Taylor dress
Pink H&M blazer

And purchased:
Purple Eileen Fisher sweater (shown in pic #3)
Tan smoking slippers (shown in several pics)

I didn't manage to snap as many WIW photos as I'd planned, so here's a selection. The trip was lovely except for the fact that my flights back to Canada have been cancelled twice so I'm currently (and unexpectedly) still in Washington, DC!
