SQUEEE!! An Inge WIW!!!

The whole shebang is FAB on you! I love how each piece is classic with a trendy nod: the zipper pocket on the dress; the metallic sneaker version of the Oxford; pearls that hug the earlobe, and an oversize satchel in yummy cognac. (Note to self: find a silver and cognac combo ASAP.)

Legs and ankles look great to me. I discovered recently that my knees were inexplicably dark and rough --- I think I had dye transfer to my knees -- I kid you not -- from a new pair of black pants. A little scrubbing and moisturizing returned them to their normal color, even if they're still, well, just "knees!"

And I love the way your wavy do is a fabulous blend of structure and gleeful freedom. Your eyes and beautiful bone structure are highlighted by the asymmetry.

I tried on a denim shift dress last week, but it was stiff and hot and tight in the shoulders ......... next!

You look gorgeous Inge. I love the dress and there is no need to worry about your lovely legs I suspect I would prefer the dress sans belt, it's really effortless, modern way to wear it I think. Hair looks fab.

Suz - So glad you love my outfit. And Mango is definitely worth checking out for sure (They often have nice belts, scarves and jewellery too. Clothing quality is mixed, similar to Zara, but I've bought some nice pieces in the past). The Violeta line is fairly new and I had heard of it, but not really looked into it. Until I recently snapped up these two denim dresses, now I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on what they bring out next.

Beth Ann - I love what you said about my hair, hadn’t thought of it like that before! And I absolutely LOVE that we are earring twins!! Will make it even more fun to wear them. (A huge YEZZZ to pearls in a modern form!!-) I’m still chuckling about your dark knees, glad you got that sorted;-) Not sure if that’s what you are after, but perhaps the lighter blue pull-on denim dress below is worth checking out: it’s a lightweight lyocell and less warm than the one I’m wearing in these photos.

Deborah - Exactly. I left off the belt to create a more drapey vibe and really like how that looks. I do like it with the belt on the model too, not so flattering on me I thought.

I missed this thread somehow. I love the dress on you and your hair looks fabulous. So thick and gorgeous. Also, I see nothing wrong with your ankles or knees. Actually I never understand when someone mentions their knees - whose knees do look great? I mean they all look sort of the same to me - kind of boney and bumpy. What do "pretty" knees look like?

Hi Inge, I'm thrilled to see you and your WIW, it's always a treat. I love the simple vibe of this outfit. The denim fabric as well as the dark colour seem to seal the fact the dress is the star of the show, and all supporting acts compliment it beautifully. Your hair looks fantastic and I also love the lipstick.
