WIW - Brown and purple woodland mix

Hello, lovely and intelligent friends!

I am really enjoying the mixed browns and purples in this outfit, as well as the mixed media. The pullover is a nice fine knit, the pants are a hearty denim, the shoes are clunky suede with rippled earth-shoe bottoms, and the jacket is stretchy corduroy. I'm in texture heaven!!! I am also sporting a self-knit cowl in a playful shade of periwinkle. Very proud to make use of the universally beloved "column of color" (tm).

I would like to call this a camaïeu, but in a less poetic vein it's just that nothing quite matches.

We had some gorgeous rain last night and this morning. And now, as you can see, the sun has come out, and the flowers are preening and feeling very happy. I feel like a woodsy gal, ready to set off on a mountain trail with my knapsack and a picnic lunch ... Valderi .... valdera .... ! Instead I'm doing HTML/CSS coding on an automotive website, but that will just be our little secret.

I love the browns and purple of the jacket but have to say that the periwinkle trows me off a bit.
Great outfit that really makes me think of walking on a mountain trail.(In my reality the ground outside is covered with snow and ice. No green in site :()

Diane - no, I just knitted the cowl scarf! Not up to a whole sweater, so I stick to smallish things for the nonce. Ha ha, glad I could stick that song in your brain!

Celia - thank you too! Yes, the periwinkle is a bit of a pop, but I wanted to let it shine with a neutral-ish backdrop. Stomp that snow for me, and I will sit on the grass for you.

Una - thank you! The temp was about 65F in the morning (brrr!). It warmed up though. Then we got more rain overnight and it is still drizzling right now. Bliss! For sure it would be warm for you, you could be rocking a pair of shorts with booties!

Love seeing browns and purples together. I have them hanging together in my closet like that, but never thought to wear them together. Another source of inspiration! I think you look great in this outfit and I've noticed some browns coming back in my runway viewing of recent.

We still have rain here and I am loving it! I am procrastinating the unpleasant tasks, just sitting here by my (propane) fireplace with my dogs listening to the wind and rain.
