Hello.

Yesterday I wore brown and white (shown here) so I figured why not sport some brown and navy today.

Both the brown and white, and the brown and navy combinations were inspired by this blog post Outfit Formula: Summery Browns.

I paired the same Brown Rails Ellis Cotton Button Up Shirt from yesterday, this time layered with a navy Amazon tank and Navy Blazer Caslon Wide Leg Pull-On Linen Pants, Tan Slides, and my black cord necklace.

I wear my shirts in all ways (tucked, untucked, half-tucked, unbuttoned, buttoned) based on my mood. I am wearing the shirt today buttoned and untucked, but also snapped a photo with the shirt unbuttoned. This shirt looks lovely against a column of navy too.

Do you prefer to wear your shirts unbuttoned, buttoned, or both?

Another super cute look, Lisa! Casually 2025, and rocking it! Blues look fantastic with browns, and the black cord necklace is an effective polished relaxed touch.

Lisa, you look great in this blue and brown combo. I especially like it with the shirt unbuttoned as a jacket, showing off your necklace.

I tend to wear my shirts buttoned and tucked, or sometimes knotted. But I like them open and loose like this, too, and do occasionally remember to style them that way! Shorter shirts I will leave untucked but rarely a longer one (Unless unbuttoned as you wear in photo 2), simply because of proportions on short me.

Suz - I also like the casual vibe the unbuttoned outfit has. I wear my shirts in all ways but admit I wear them untucked the most (both unbuttoned and buttoned), because I'm just too lazy to keep tucking all day long and I prefer the casual flowy vibe of an untucked shirt the most.

Dee - I notice ever since I dug out my black cord necklace I am reaching for it, I think it's the perfect accessory for summer outfits.

Looks great! Nice color combo. I prefer them loose and unbuttoned (not a tucker) but in reality I tend to do a few buttons so it stays put.
