Today was a warm fall day, something we’ve been having a lot of. I’m ready for cooler temps and jackets, but the midday temps are reaching near 80, so we are not quite there yet!

I decided to bring out the AllSaints skirt today, pairing it with my shoulder pad tee, slouchy tan OTK (actually on me, just knee height) suede boots, and tan crossbody. My husband told me I looked great and took a pic (pic 4) so I thought I’d better take some mirror selfies and post for you here.

Worn for a lunch meetup with a friend and former colleague (she curates a gallery where I may have a show next spring), and then later dinner with my husband and a date to see David Sedaris, who was hilarious as always.

The skirt does crease a bit with wear but it’s not awful. I think it’s pretty enough to be worth a few wrinkles, and the printed part doesn’t show that as much as the solid part. I like mixing black and brown, so this pairing was easy for me, and the lighter tan boots and bag helped lighten the look a bit while still having a very autumnal vibe.

Comments & all welcome! It was a good day and a good outfit, and I look forward to styling this skirt up in different ways for cooler weather as well.

PS. I swear I’m going to clean that darn smudge off the mirror, LOL! I only see it when I take a photo.
