WIW - BR black and white sweater, 3 ways

I received this sweater as a Christmas present and absolutely love it. Here's 3 combinations I've worn so far. I can easily think of a few more outfits I can put together too.

#1. Sweater with black trousers and colorful scarf.
#2. Sweater with jeans and safari style shirt (my hair is wonky because I was going in for a haircut so didn't bother washing it that morning).
#3. Sweater with pleated skirt and boots (I would have worn booties with this except it was freezing cold that day and I wanted the extra warmth from tall boots).

You have such a great classic style and this sweater is perfect for you! You've given me lots of ideas, I totally struggle with stripes. All three are great looks, but I especially love the long line of #1.

Ack! Gorgeous on you Sara...is this the BR sweater every one has been raving about? I really REALLY love it with the skirt in particular - such a sassy pairing!

I love this striped top on you. I think I've said it before, but in #1 I love the contrast of the graphic strict stripe with the bright colorful organic scarf. #3 is a similar deal with contrast but the "stripes" are a burgundy, vertical pleat. #2 I am always a fan of a blue and yellow combination -- can't go wrong. I think this sweater is off to a long and happy life.

This could be a magazine editorial (except for the washing machine in the background LOL) -- you've done a great job showing the different ways to style a striped sweater. Love the pattern mixing in #1!

I love all your stylings. #2 is the most unexpected to my eye, love it. I have this sweater and have worn it with black dress pants, cobalt skinnies, and oxblood skinnies. I'll have to try it with a skirt!

Shannon - I'm not sure if it's the same sweater or not. I don't remember seeing anyone post about it on the forum, but I'm not on the forum often enough to see all the posts. It's a great sweater - fairly thin but plenty warm and I love the black/white stripes.

We are sweater almost-twins. I have the navy one with a cream stripe. This one looks great on you! And I love how your kitty echoes the colours! So cute. I'm guessing the dryer was on and the machine was warm. Or at least that's when my cat would be up there. (Mine's a chocolate point - looks as if this one might be, too?)

I like all three outfits but especially 1 and 3. That bright scarf is fantastic with the stripes and I love the flirty fun skirt with the sweater, too.

Suz - The cat's food is on the dryer to keep it away from our dog. She always tries to act pitiful and get more food when I'm taking photos. I used to have a chocolate point cat with blue eyes, but he died a few years ago (old age). He was a beautiful cat, as I'm sure yours is. This cat has very graphic black and white markings - black face, black tail and two large black spots, one on each side.

Sara, the striped sweater looks great on you and I really like how that multicoloured scarf looks against the black/white striped background. I have a similar sweater and will definitely give your version a try. I also like how you've combined the sweater with the shirt/jacket and booties in similar palette as the shirt. The sweater looks great with the burgundy skirt too.

How about combining the sweater with flared jeans and a solid coloured blazer?
