Here's a MOTG look that suits me though it is not very inspirational. I mostly wanted to show you my new haircut - a nice straight bob. I really like it, and it is easy to style.

This outfit is good for walking the dog, playing Frisbee in the park, or bicycling to a museum. I girlied it up with a faux necktie scarf in an equestrian print because I have a big girl crush on Mai Tai. The scarf is just knotted and pinned to my cardi. Mai Tai got me interested in wearing the cardi buttoned up as a shirt, and I dig it this way. It's preppy without being fussy.

Julie, you and Joy are killing me with your smooth glossy bobs! I wish my layers would hurry up and grow out. Your hair looks so swingy and healthy and full of movement. I love what you did with the scarf, too. It kind of looks a bit retro somehow.

I've got a thing for Mai Tai too. Sometimes she really inspires me, and sometimes she makes me want to jump off a bridge because I will never achieve that kind of perfection (Pinterest does this for me too). And why are her scarves always so nice and long? Half of the knots I try with mine end up looking like stupid little bow ties(ETA: on me, when I'm going for something with some length to it. No offense to anyone who likes bow ties!). I guess I'm buying the *ahem* wrong brands.

I had a lovely lunch at Maitai's house in France after becoming acquainted online, and she is just as beautiful and charming in person, and a gracious hostess.
She's the kind of person who puts you completely at ease, in spite of being so model-gorgeous. Just not fair, is it?

Claire, her scarves are nice and long because they're 36" squares (and also because she has a lovely slender neck, but so do you). I think you just need a big enough scarf.

Mochi, you are so dear and kind. I am drawn to her lifestyle too. This week she went to Venice. Sigh. And she takes excellent photos.

Claire, your hair is always an inspiration to me because it is glossy and chic. Your scarf comments cracked me up. I have the same trouble because all my square scarves are small. I guess it's time to find some bigger ones in a knock-off variety.
