WIW - black & white oldie but goodie

This top must be 10 years old, and it's not the most fab fabric in the world, but I just love the stripes too darn much to let it go. Thought I'd give it a little love today. It needs a black tank underneath to extend the length a little. If I were buying it today, I'd size up for more ease, but paired with my tomboy jeans, I guess it's just current enough due to the sporty vibe. The snow is melting and it's warming up a little today, so I'm taking advantage with my cobalt moto.

Not exciting or groundbreaking or trendy, but this is kind of my natural state and firmly in my comfort zone. I thought of viva's recent thread -- I would have worn this 10 or 20 or even 30 years ago (with tweaks of course). Is there anything wrong with that?

Interesting, Angie! I would have thought that a butt-covering top would be recommended with the skirted leggings. But maybe not. Hmm. OK, I have a feeling I'll go back to Nordstrom tonight to take the skirted leggings home and give them a try with some different tops.

Literally every time I wear this moto, I get a compliment on it. One of my studio neighbors told me it is clearly one of my happy colors and that it brightened his day.

Janet this outfit looks modern and current to me. I love the sweater. The thing that particularly appeals to me is the handbag with this outfit. It reads as lady like to me and yet you have meshed it with your style really well. I often feel I cannot carry bags like this because they are too incongruent with my style but maybe not.
