I haven’t been very active on YLF in recent years, mostly reading but not posting because... well... life happened. Nothing tragic, just life. Many things have changed, I’ve changed, and now I feel the need to have fun with style again.
And since I’m not entirely sure what my style is now, I’m experimenting.
Here are two looks that really made me feel good and, coincidentally, featured bits of sheer!
I wore #1 for Music Day evening last week in the village where I live: (very) wide-leg black pants with eyelets (lots of eyelets!), paired with a pink tee, gold mules, and a dark floral handbag. I added long, dangling earrings for a touch of glam.
It was a really fun moment with my husband and our next-door neighbors, and the dramatic pants were perfect for the occasion!
#2 was for work on Thursday: I’ve had this plum broderie anglaise shirt for years, but for some reason, I’d never worn it. I really liked how it looked with these trousers, which are a slightly purplish-brown color.
Taking my pink handbag with this outfit was a no-brainer, but I’m second-guessing the black shoes and black belt.
Thank you so much for reading – it’s great to be back!
