My birthday was Monday and I took the day off from work. I've decided that I hate working on my birthday and I enjoy spending the day doing what I want. I went shopping with a friend for a couple hours, went to lunch with my husband, and then went to Steinmart to take back a couple tops my mom had given me but didn't fit right.

#1 - Shopping loot - My mom gave me the taupe jacket but I needed a smaller size and then I traded the tops for the dress and floral jeans. I bought the burgundy (they look more red in the picture but they're actually a burgundy/wine color) shoes at Nordstrom Rack. I also bought a straw cowboy hat that's not pictured to replace my old one that bit the dust. Steinmart is definitely not a store I would normally shop in. I've never had so much trouble spending money in a store. Everything was really brightly patterned with some sort of embellishment - sequins, zippers, ruffles, cut-outs, etc.

#2 - Dress that I wore to work the next day. I needed something that didn't constrict my waist. I had been having a lot of pain on my right side since the night before. I went to Urgent Care that morning and after a urine test, bloodwork, and a CT scan the only thing they could tell me was that I didn't have appendicitis.

#3 - Another loose dress since my side was still tender although much better. Also I have a cold so I was running a fever all day and my throat was (is) sore.

#4 - This shorts outfit was actually from the weekend before.
