As I mentioned recently on another thread, I had knee surgery a few weeks ago, so I'm currently spending a lot of time at home recovering. Here are a recent pair of outfits from before and after the procedure.
Outfit 1 (Before):
This was right before my surgery date, going out to dinner with DH to a trendy place downtown. This was our last hurrah, because we knew I wouldn't be up to leaving the house for a few weeks afterwards. I was going for urban/trendy but minimal, which is where I want my style to be going. How'd I do?
Also, can you tell my much taller DH took this picture? The proportions look very odd!
Jeans - Old Navy
Top - Gap
Jacket - Danier
Bag - Kate Spae
Shoes - Clarks
Outfit 2 (After)
It's only this week that I've felt up to leaving my house again and I wanted to start wearing things other than sweats when I do so. My knee is still swollen/sore, so all of my skinny and straight leg jeans are out of rotation for awhile, leaving me with leggings and boyfriend jeans as my only wardrobe options. An online shopping trip is definitely in my future!
This was worn for one of my first outings, which was bruch with a friend this weekend. Inspired by one of Aubergine's outfits last week, I grabbed this striped dress that I usually only wear as loungewear and added leggings and a denim jacket. I felt a little casual but at least somewhat pulled together (but then, my standards aren't very high at the moment!). You can also see my new friend the brace, which will be accompanying me for at least the next month or so.
Dress - Gap
Leggings - Target
Jacket - Old Navy
Sandals - Birkenstocks
Sorry for the long post, it got away from me! Comments and thoughts are welcome, as always.
