Hi there, well everyone was so nice yesterday, I thought I'd try another. This is an example of black sneaking back into my wardrobe despite my efforts to move away from it - it's a real love/hate relationship!

This is a total "me" outfit, although I will admit that while the necklace is, I think, needed for styling purposes, but I've already taken it off for practicality! The jacket is for the evening as it's been cooling nicely the last few days.

Please forgive the bad summer hair. We've been swimming a lot so it's ponytail season for me

Love this!! The skirt is an ideal length for MOTG and I love the stripes (well, I just love stripes, but this is still fab!)

I also really like the necklace and the way it adds some sparkle but also creates a long line.

I have no issues with black, and I think it bookends your hair well.

I hear you on the necklace - in the heat, it just feels like too much sometimes!

Amiable and Suz, I heard a great tip somewhere to keep your accessories by the door rather than in your closet ... so you can throw them on when you head out, like you would a jacket, rather than wear them all day. Anyways, for today I'll just call it minimalist and be done with it

Thistle, great to know a fellow stripe-addict ... I have a serious problem ... my friends make fun of me when I shop because that's all I look at ha!

Really nicely done streamlined sporty look. I especially like the second pic with jeans jacket. The necklace does add a great touch.

Very nice put together look for a stylish MOTG. Angie recently posted about the stripe skirt and this one really fits the bill. I am also an addict - but a recent one, over the past 4-5 months. It is crazy. I love a dark top with the stripe bottom!

Thanks very much all! Glory, I do gravitate to stripes but it was Angie's post that I think made me recognize this skirt was a "must have".

The jacket was a great find - it was on a sale rack 2 years ago and had been reduced a few times ... I think it cost me $30 and I've worn it a zillion times. Not great at math but think that works out to an excellent cost-per-wear

So glad to hear you are all ok with me in black ... yeah!! I thought it might be making me look drab. I'll take your guys words for it as I do love it so and it fits my #1 criteria - it's easy

I think the stripe and denim keep the black interesting. I love this and would wear something like it in a heartbeat of I just had that striped skirt..... The tie is a fun detail and as such I like it without the necklace.

Sarah, I just bought the skirt - if you are in Canada by chance, I'm sure they still have them at Aqua and it was extremely reasonable and more comfy than yoga-pants.

The tie is a bit funny - it's meant so that you can also wear it up higher and tie around your neck as a swimsuit cover if you want to - so it sits a little heavy - but great point that it does add that bit of detail to the outfit. Thx for that!
