This summer I have given linen a better try than in past years. In the past I have found linen pants to be scratchy, wrinkly, and shapeless. Wide leg linen looks ridiculously big on me.
The Athleta Retreat ankle pants (can't collect, link here) mentioned in Lisa's (LJP's) recent thread were a good option, and I got them on sale. I think the petite might have served me better both in length and rise, but it's almost sold out and back to the full price now.
I decided to wear the pants at home today, and to run a few errands, to test them out for stretch, wrinkle, and comfort. I took some pics before sitting! After several hours the wrinkle factor is not bad. This is a heavy 100% linen. It's a touch itchy at the waist, but not unbearable. The rise is very high for me - I can't do a faux tuck. I have cuffed the pants - might take them with my R&B Boyfriend jeans for a hem. I think I'll leave them in the dryer longer on the next wash as they are starting to grow as the day goes by.
Didn't have a lot of time for pics, but wanted to try a few tops and shoes. I like them best with the BR wrap top. I think I'll get good use out of these for summers to come.
