WIW - a week of color! (kind of)

Still getting caught up on my weekly WIWs - I'm trying to post most of my outfits rather than just a few here or there. This is from a couple of weeks ago and imagine my surprise when I discovered that I (firmly on Team Neutral) wore color in 4 out of the 6 outfits that I photographed. Not only that, but in 3 of the 6 I'm in flat to low heels. What is happening with me?!

Looking good Christy! *looks around* I'm kind of into lower and flat heels right now too, what's up with that!?? *clears throat* These are all fab, but I'm really really loving #2 and #6 and hello pretty tassel necklace twin in #3 You have a fab purse collection!

Good grief Christy! Do you EVER take a bad pic??? Every single one of these outfits works perfectly. I couldn't find anything to pick on if I tried (lol)! I adore your dress outfit in #3 in particular.

1. This looked better in my head - wasn't crazy about how it turned out. Gibson blue jacket, Classiques ivory top, BR tan slacks, Jeffrey Campbell oxfords, B Makowsky handbag, Old Navy blue necklace and earrings
2. Old Navy black knit button up, Classiques light brown slacks, Jeffrey Campbell oxfords, black belt B Makowsky bag, Stella & Dot long pearl rope necklace
3. Chaus black and white dress, Steve Madden peep-toe booties, Michael Kors black bag, Loft silver tassel necklace
4. I posted this one already...white fox croft button down, Loft skirt, Franco Sarto flats, Target belt, Target coral earrings, Michael Kors bag
5. Pulled out the blue Gibson jacket again and liked it better paired with this black and white striped tee, white Gap pants ($5 on sale at the end of last summer!), Nine West reptile print pumps and Steve Madden reptile print bag.
6. A casual look - I'm trying to get better about taking pictures of casual looks too! Loft green and navy striped tee, J Jill navy shorts, Franco Sarto nude heels, white shell necklace, Tignanello yellow small cross body bag.

You look amazing in that blue jacket - yeah for color! I also love your colorful shorts outfit and the dress with booties is gorgeous. Not one is less than fab though.

Gorgeous use of color. My favourites here tho are 2 and 3, so sleek and put together. #6 gets special mention, it's a lovely silhouette on you.

See, this is what I'm talking about: you have great accessories that support your outfits! Earrings to bookend your shoes? That's crazy-cool! I love you in cute flats! The striped outfit with pearls, shorts and beachy hair is sending me into orbitt! You look like you just stepped off your sailboat (or yacht)!

am loving that blue jacket. honestly, your series, to me, just illustrates a neutrals girl accessorizing with color to keep things fresh. blue is also practically a neutral anyway !

i don't understand the flats thing. maybe the moon phase? you and aida are on the west(ish?) coast so maybe the stars are different there!

You look wonderful, as always, and it's fun to see you in a casual look as well as in your usual work wear. I adore #3, and #4 is just so much fun!! You look fabulous in the blue jacket, so I'm glad you brought it out a second time.

It's funny how some outfits just work better in the imagination, isn't it? I wish it were easier to predict. I must say, I adore the earrings with the jacket in #1.

What a fab set of outfits. You are SO stylish! My fave is the print dress (with those edgy booties) closely followed by the sweet skirt ensemble. All of these are winners though. I'm looking forward to seeing more casual too!

It is really 'cool' to see you in 'warm' weather transition clothes!
every outfit is stunning.
I especially like how each garment/outfit 'fits' your body so well. Really great fit takes an outfit from ordinary to fab and you demondtrate that to the rest of us beautifully!

Deborah, my fellow neutral lovin' gal, 2 and 3 are probably my favorites also. I just can't help it!

Ha Claire! There's a funny story behind the necklace and top I wore for the Hawaii pictures. That top was bought specifically to match that necklace - and the necklace isn't even mine! A girlfriend let me borrow it for the trip and I decided I MUST wear the necklace for the pictures, but didn't have anything to go with it. Which led to a shopping trip and voila! Terrible, isn't it?!

Sona, great fit (or as close I can get to it) has become something of a new mantra for me. Thanks for noticing!

Wow, you are looking great, and it's so much fun to see a week of WIWs to get a sense of an overall theme. You're definitely into the blues, and they really suit you. My favorite is #2, actually, with #4 close behind! Your hair looks great both pulled back and set free - it's nice that it can be a versatile part of your style.
