I have been interested in seeing others evolving style and also the benefits gained from regular WIW posts. In 2017 I would like to refine and develop my style (and define it with some style descriptors) so an honest WIW is needed to tap into the collective style wisdom of YLF.

The sort of style that I would love to have is to be: classic, playful and chic. I do enjoy wildcard items and will happily wear them, but I think I need to be careful that I am wearing them and not vice versa.

My apologies that the quality of the photos is rather poor, but hopefully the photos give a feel for the clothes that I wear and my general style. I seem to be having a "blue" phase at the moment! It really is a colour that I feel very comfortable in.

This is a selection of WIW from last week.
Picture 1 - a Zara sun dress worn with sandals, for a typical day at home and doing grocery shopping.
Picture 2 - another dress and sandals combination on a hot summer's day for a casual day off work and catching up with friends for dinner.
Picture 3 - my AG Jodie jeans, worn with a silk tank and some favourite gold sandal / boots, for a casual day. My bag is by Aspinale of London and has a Union Jack on the front - this was a souvenir from a trip to the UK 3 years ago.
Picture 4 - a new dress purchased for work - worn with heels (from Moss & Spy - an Australian designer).
Picture 5 - a black skirt and shirt combination worn with a red leather moto jacket worn to work. After seeing Angie's Friday ensemble, I am sure that adding white or cream would have been a better choice to lighten this look up. My red leather jacket is about 10 years old!
Picture 6 - a new purchase, a dress from Matches fashion, which I wore with the black shirt underneath. I hope you like this dress, as I would love to keep it given the fabric is very beautiful. It does look nice worn without a top underneath, but I do like the versatility of dresses that can be worn this way as it makes them year round propositions.
Picture 7 - A navy skirt and jacket combination worn to work with a blue shirt underneath.

I work in a corporate office that even in summer has cool air-conditioning, so I mainly wear jackets to work. All feedback and suggestions for improvements are gratefully received!
