Going through my closet orphans, I found a couple of pairs of pants that I struggle to style because I tend to think of them as a bit dressier than my norm. I decided to try casual stylings of them to see if they should stay in my wardrobe.

These are very high waisted so you won’t catch me tucking tops into them, but this new white tie front top visually helps balance my proportions. It’s chilly this morning but getting up to 65 later so a denim jacket is a good option that also adds a bit more casual.

Platform or flat form shoes might help balance the voluminous pants better, but I really wanted to wear these Free People copper shoes today. I think it’s JFE.

Jewelry is my mismatched handmade earrings from a Santa Fe artist and zebrawood and copper ring from an artist in Zambia. I love my travel pieces!

I’m kind of over this rose gold tote, but it works nicely with the shoes, better with the outfit than my other bags, so I’m going with it. Plus roomy enough to carry my book. I have a doctors appointment today and will probably find a casual outdoor dining situation for lunch afterward, then some errands, including a stop at the tailor to have some alterations done.

Only three more days until haircut day, yay!
