WIW - A new bag, 2 wins and 1 fail

I bought a new Isaac Mizrahi handbag at TJ Maxx to replace my poor battered grey bag. This one is a lighter shinier grey than my current bag but I really like it and expect it to be a wardrobe workhorse. Sorry I don't have any pictures of me carrying it.

#1 - Floral pants with a black shirt and black blazer
#2 - New teal shirt layered under a black sweater.
#3 - This is probably a fail even though I liked it. The proportions are really off and my legs look stumpy. I hesitated to even post it but figured fails are good for learning too.
#4 - New bag

I don't think 3 is a fail! I think a dark belt at the waist would define your waist and "fix" the proportion issue.

I think you'll have fun with those floral pants

Your bag looks fantastic, this will be a great neutral and work with some many outfits. I'm am super in love with outfit #1. The black background of the pants paired with the black up top, gives you the column of colour effect. Yet the bold floral elevates to a new level. Stunning!

You are rockin' those floral pants Sara - love them on you. I do see what you're saying about the proportions in #3 - the band of the white top is a little long for the skirt but I would not say it is a fail by any means.

3. #1 & #2 work so well! The print in #1 is out there and happy and I really like teal and black together.

#3 is not a fail. I don't think the boots cut you off at all, they make a wonderful retro statement! The necklace adds a nice punch and I love the pleat detail at the hem of the skirt. The only thing I can suggest for improvement on #3 is to press the sweater so that it drapes nicely.

#1 is my favorite! Return of the moody floral trouser. I love this look on you it is fabulous.

You're really making the floral pants work, LOVE! Great bag. On #3 - I'm not loving the skirt with that top but I like the boots with the skirt. Don't really see stumpy legs.

I love #1 on you. Do you think #3 is a fail because there is too much going on for you? Even with the floral pants #1 is more streamlined imo - maybe that's the look you prefer.

You incorporated those floral pants really well, I love #1! 2 looks great too. I think #3 may be off because the top looks way too big for you. I'm all for oversized, but it's meant to be a wrap top, no? The proportions of the outfit work very well to me, I like the boots with the skirt, just the top looks like it's a few sizes too large. Nice bag!

Great bag. # 1 and 2 are great.
I don't think 3 is tumpy but that the detail of the wrap top may compete with the ruffle edged skirt somehow.

I love love love 1 and 2, the only thing off for me in 3 is the top is too baggy. If I looked like you do in those floral pants I'd own some.

Great new bag! I think #3 is a very creative look. It is alot different from your 1 & 2 looks but it feels like you are having fun experimenting. Loving the floral pants in 1!

You look so fab in those floral jeans! Great outfit. And I love the graphic simplicity of #2 as well. I don't think 3 is a fail, but it seems as if it might be a little more "girly" or less streamlined than the others, so perhaps that's what bugged you.
