Hi all, happy Thursday!

Just wanted to share this holding zone win. As I've mentioned elsewhere, I am working on not editing so aggressively and instead holding on to pieces that are in good condition, that fit, and are plausibly useful - even if I am not currently feeling them, they are not workhorses, or they don't fit with my latest and greatest capsule scheme

This sweater is a case in point - I bought it and barely wore it, but somehow it escaped my edit-happy impulses. Today, it was just the thing, as I was craving colour given the gray spring skies, but also am in the mood for really classic pieces at the moment. Hooray for the holding zone!

Yes, these are the same jeans I am literally always wearing I need to get an additional pair but can't seem to justify it given, where am I going?!?!?

The jeans always look great. This outfit is no exception. Love that strong red, the color of spring tulips, and it complements your complexion well.

Happy red color with fun stripes is perfect for you jeans and sneakers outfit! The fit is great and the look is very pretty ( especially with your smile ).
I've had a couple items that came back into my wardrobe after some holding time - sometimes it feels like an old friend visit.

Now I'm surprised you had this in the holding zone! It's such a great colour on you I understand completely about the "latest and greatest new capsule idea" - sounds like me . I'm doing what you are doing in that I''m trying to wear and repurpose" the stuff I would have donated in the past.

I get moody about colors as well; this Spring I have been digging out all my light blues and wearing them, where the last couple of years they were the last thing I reached for. I think jeans wash changes or pant shape shifts can also prompt a remix.

That red is gorgeous on you, Helena! Definitely keep this one to wear when you crave colour! And the jeans are great on you. Can you duplicate the exact item? Even if you are not going anywhere, laundry bottlenecks do happen....

It’s gorgeous & the color looks great on you! I like the unbroken red at the top with the stripes starting a bit lower. Works great with jeans & would work w/ black bottoms too. Bright but not too bright. Glad you kept it!

Suz, that's a great suggestion actually ... I think I am so focused that I need to get a different style of jeans, but actually this style works ... and yeah, it's getting a little embarrassing how much I wear them

I snorted at the latest and greatest capsule because that’s exactly my problem too. I was just contemplating whether to try a May 30x30 or leave well enough alone, haha. This top looks great on you and is making me miss a similar version that I wore to death. I really like how the stripes stop midway up as it’s less busy near the face.

Gillian, why not do a 30x30, if that’s what rocks your boat? Just don’t think you need to permanently remove whatever’s not in the current capsule!

I am also someone who throws things out easily and I think the idea of a holding zone is really good. I've had clothes I was going to throw away and I have forgotten about them, found the bag later and realised that there was something I had taken a shine to again. That sweater looks great on you and I really like that style of jeans. If you like a style and suit it, it can be easier to stick to it than getting bored.

Yes! I’ve pulled somethings out of the hold zone this year that just seemed to be exactly what i needed/wanted. And yes to this sweater. And totally get the “I’m not going anywhere so I don’t care if i wearing the exact same pair of pants 2,3 days in a row” feeling...

My gosh what a stunning color on you, TG! Hooray for the holding zone! And for wearing the same pieces on repeat. I am all for dupe'ing those jeans, too. If I looked that good in slim leg jeans, they would be the only pair I'd wear
