WIW - 3 outfits I liked, 1 sort of dud, Baby Yoda

I liked the first three outfits here, but wasn't as happy with the third one. The first three have all the elements that I like - a neutral, some pattern with one major color. The fourth outfit has two colors without a neutral and no patterned element. It was okay, but not an outfit I'll be repeating.

#1 - New grey tapered pants from Kohl's, thrifted top and scarf.

#2 - Grey trousers with lace sleeve top from H&M.

#3 - Maroon skinnies, striped tee, old cardigan that I should replace. It's faded and stretched out.

#4 - Blush flared trousers that are not too long. It must be the way I'm standing. I should have taken a side shot.

#5 - Baby Yoda! The two older boys were Darth Vader and a storm trooper but I don't have those photos on my phone.

These look great Sara - I especially love the lace sleeves on #2. And Baby Yoda rocks!

1 and two are super! I like the pants in 4, do you have something grey to go with them?

Oh, my favorite is #2 as well, the fit of those slacks is great and the sweater and necklace beautiful. Having the kitty in the background gets extra points, even though he's not trying to reach for you this time It's great that you are fining an outfit formula that you are happy with. Baby Yoda, adorable, he is!

I like the idea of the belting and the color combo in 4 - what about a darker shoe? Might anchor things more...

I love your first outfit the best! But they are all good. I personally have a hard time belting, so I'm not so sure about that in the 4th outfit, but that's just for me.

I really like 3, the pants are great on you (like them best in 2). I'm not a fan of the belt placement in 4, but your figure can handle it.

I just love the colors in# 1 on you.
I think # 4 is too much pastel-- need top or bottom contrast.
From what I'm seeing the trend for the shirt would be less fitted , and belting would be over more fluid top. Just what you want now that you're not having to think maternity wear, right? You and baby both look fab.

What unfrumped said about #4. Just doesn't have enough crisp contrast for you.

Thanks for the advice on #4.

Baby Yoda came out for awhile but we came back in while the older kids stayed out longer with Dad. We went trick-or-treating with some friends in their neighborhood so didn't hand out any candy.

My faves are 1 and 3. (And of course 5, it goes without saying, that is the sweetest little Jedi master I've ever seen.)

I think the teal and blue combo is perfect with your dark hair. And I think the graphic top and skinny burgundy pants look fresh and sharp and show off your gorgeous legs.

OMG Baby Yoda, the expression is priceless. What a gorgeous baby. No surprise, look at gorgeous Mama, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. I like your hair, is there something different?

As for the outfits, I was thinking, boy she looks good in high contrast colors as in #3 (and sweater still looks good in photos). Then you surprise me with a soft palette as in #4 and I'm thinking, she looks good in those colors too! As do the deeper teals in #1. Are these very specific colors you know work on you, have you had your colors done, or do you find you can effortlessly wear many colors?

Cocolion - I've never had my colors done, although it sounds like something fun to do. Beige, mustard, and most yellows look terrible on me, so I stay away from those colors. Other than that, I don't worry about colors too much - maybe I'm just naturally drawn to colors that look good on me.

Oh and the question about my hair - it looks different depending on whether I wash it or not. I don't need to wash it every day, but the style gets sort of flat. I can revive it somewhat but it never looks quite the same as when freshly washed and styled. I'm too lazy to wash my hair every day though, plus I'm worried it would get dried out with all that shampooing.
