WIW - 3 outfits from this week

I'm starting to see the arty/romantic aspect of my mostly modern classic style that Angie noticed when we were all doing the style descriptor exercise a few weeks ago.

#1 - Although this has a lot of elements that I typically like - black/white print, flattering top, boots, it's not actually one of my favorites. I like the white belt though.
#2 - I'm experimenting with pointy toed boots with the wide legged pants here. I'm thinking about buying pointy toed pumps this spring so thought I should test out the look with an old pair of pointy toed boots that I rarely wear anymore.
#3 - Of course, the only non-blurry picture is the one where my sweater is rumpled and I'm not smiling.

Ah, I can see those elements in your style, too - the drapey fabrics, the pointy toes...very nice outfits. I LOVE #3!

First of all, LOVE the pointy toed boots with the wide legged trousers - incredibly flattering IMO. Your layering in outfit #3 is really great - I like the denim peeking out from under that fab sweater. And what is it about #1 that you're not crazy about 'cause it looks fabulous on you?

I love the white belt too! I've been wearing a new bright white belt all week so high five!

I'm not exactly sure what it is about #1 that I didn't like. I admit the outfit is very flattering when I look at the pictures but I didn't like it as much when wearing it. I think it has to do with the length of the skirt and the boots I was wearing. I think I would have liked it better with maybe a bootie or pump where some leg was showing between the skirt and shoe. It was too cold for that though (well too cold for me anyway, you Canadians would probably think it was shorts weather

You look fantastic in all three outfits Sara. I really like the pop the white belt adds in #1. The pointy toe boots are such a modern shape and a pair of pumps would be a great addition to your wardrobe. You wear stripes so perfectly, that outfit is totally you!

Fab x 3! Outfit 1 seems romantic, 2 seems arty and 3 modern classic! Seems like you have your style persona nailed down. Anxious to see your new pointy pumps. New shoes always make sense to me, as long as they are comfy.

Eee ee ee! #1! This one just has me jumping up and down in my seat. They're showing these colors for fall 3000 (or whatever season we're up to now ;>), but if I can do them for spring, I'm gonna! So on the money, if you ask me.

What brand of trousers is that in #2? I really like them.

I love the addition of the white belt. Very unexpected and quite flattering. My favorite is #3. It's so classic and appeals to the preppy side of me. I especially Like the exposed shirttails.

Beautiful outfits Sarah, I can definitely see the arty streak! Love the belt with the skirt in #1! And yes, we are indeed sweater twins today. I have been inspired to layer a denim shirt under mine the next time.

Rachylou - the pants are The Limited - the Drew fit. I have no idea if they still sell them though since I picked them up at a thrift store about a year ago.

I think you have some great outfits and are on to something with the pointy toes. Yes get some pumps so i can live vicariously! Im marking down #3 for more sweater twin styling ideas. 1 is super flattering but shorter boots would be less classic feeling IMO so it might seem a bit more fresh and fun that way. I like it as is for sure too.
