WiW - 01.07.14 - Extreme Cold Edition

It was -17F this morning as I was leaving for work. DH has DD this morning while I go in and he is going in this afternoon.

I wanted to fall back to black trousers, but I had set out white the night before figuring at -17F there would be no slush to dirty them. I stuck with what I had set out! Trousers are from Ralph Lauren and the turtleneck and sweater is from Talbots. Finished off with Sam Edelman booties and Movodo watch.

Wondered about the coat? High or low contrast with the indoor outfit? Anyway, love these shades together on you! I can see why the low teperatures and the big snow can triger you for winter whites!

How did you feel wearing this today? Your description makes me think your were second-guessing your choice.

I love it! Outside of winter white being on trend, a soft color palette suits your coloring and you are keeping it grown up and relaxed, which is perfect.

The booties are wonderful, and the juxtaposition of a heavier sweater in a spring shade is fab.

I felt fine once it was on. And I was right. The ground is far too frozen to get any slush on my pants

It's just black pants always feel more correct. Not sure why . . .

Those boots are perfect for the outfit. The lighter tones are wonderful together. You've created simple, classic look. Wish I could see the watch better--I remember commenting on a thread a while back on your watch choices, but I don't recall the one you picked! I'll have to go back and look. . .
