I've been thinking --while running, driving about town, cooking, just about about anywhere -- about my style goals and cool season wardrobe plan. My Grandma would call it "cogitating." Sometimes it feels like brainstorming, but at other times I seem to be brooding. I guess I'm not sure exactly where I want to go at the moment.

Here's what I do know:
1. I had a Summer goal to learn to do "extremely casual" better. I think I've improved at this kind of dressing, even though it's not my favorite.

2. I'm a bricks and mortar shopping girl. I need to see the garment from all angles, bend and move in it, feel the fibers and inspect the construction. Yep. Even if its a Target item.

3. I want to keep "form with flow and energy with ease" as my style rubric. It's more important to me than a style persona, but no substitute for a shopping plan or true style goals.

And most importantly:

4. I want to look good for the people I love most. These poor darlings see me when I stumble out of bed to begin the day, and when I come back from a workout. Let's throw em a bone (particularly hubby). How about a pretty color? Even when I'm in my jammies and lounge wear.

Well, a girl's still gotta get dressed when she's musing over her fashion future, so....here's WIW while waiting for an epiphany:

1 & 2: Work looks. The first pic debuts my new Target (Mossimo) pencil skirt. This skirt is remarkably comfy. #2 is a repeat, but I love the textured sweater knit skirt (in navy).

3-6: A favorite day-at-home formula in transitional weather features a pullover sweater in a lovely color. All but #4 are new sweaters from Kohls. Not exciting, but very mixable, and in a newer, more fluid fit.

7: My version of the Canadian tuxedo --- oh yeah, with Crocs. Can't get more casual than that!

8: Jammies! No, not a negligee. But then, there's no Master Suite in my 1,000sq ft house full of two pre-teens. DH will have to settle for a soft, colorful knitwear. I've resolved to stop wearing old stuff to bed. At least the cut and color can be pleasing!
