WIW -- To Bombshell, or Not to Bomshell?

Well, I guess I'm not a true bombshell, but I am finding myself in pencil skirts a lot. I favor ponte, at least to the knee, and like to be free to move throughout my day. I'm undecided on this most recent look. Should I belt or not? I feel unbelted is more modern, but belted is more figure flattering. I opted for my cage shoes to add a little bit of the unexpected, even though my classic pumps would undoubtedly add to my leg line. What's your vote? Please pardon my desperate need for a haircut!

I like it both ways. Belted looks more finished, unbelted more carefree.

How funny that the circles on your blouse match the round shapes of water lilies in the Monet's poster!
I prefer unbelted - less fussy and more modern. Love the caged sandals!

I wear this look unbelted so I do favour that look. I think unbelted is quite modern and fresh and creates a great silhouette. Lovely outfit.

JR -- haven't tried the semi tuck. I'll check and see if I have a more suitable belt for the purpose.

I'm not experienced enough to know why I prefer unbelted but to my eye that is preferable. You look great.

Belted, but because this outfit calls for that added degree of polish. If you were to wear separates with a more casual vibe, unbelted would be appropriate.

Beth Ann, I like both looks and I think you can carry both of them, depending on your preference that day! I prefer belted a little bit more and I think that's only because I am going through a phase of learning how to define my waist (after not defining for many years!) and am always looking for different ways on how to do that.

Love the red skirt, though! Smashing!

How pretty! I dont' have a real preference, and I would say that it depends on what you have going on that day. If you want to appear more polished, then belt, and if you want to be seen as more fun and casual, unbelted. Either way you can't lose.

I like the outfit both ways. The belted is a little more figure flattering but the unbelted looks easier and (slightly) more casual. I love, love, love the cage sandals!

I think both looks work, depending on what you're going for. Unbelted has a slightly more casual look and belted gives it the classic, more dressy look. You can't go wrong either way - you look gorgeous!

Thanks for the feedback! I think the unbelted option won, although many were either/or (like me). And yes, Jonesy, I agree that the belt makes for a more maximal look. I like doo-dads and gee-gaws, but I'm trying to allow the details to shine instead of being lost in the crowd. In this regard, I like without the belt best.
