WIW this week (ok, I remembered twice!)

The first is from forcing myself to wear the CK colorblock dress -- to bring down that CPW. I prefer wearing it sleeveless, but that won't happen in January!

The second is from meeting friends for lunch - cozy and casual.

1, Calvin Klein colorblock (from NAS but I found mine at Marshall in late August), Gibson knit blazer, Aquatalia Undy boots

2. Banana Republic button neck sweater and Gap Always Skinny jeans sized up twice for BFs. (Sorry it's rather dark - still losing light early around here)

I'm not feeling the accessories lately, so there really aren't any -- except my lovely work id lanyard in #1

Yay!! I think we are haircut twins these days, pretty much.

#1 is great, but I confess I am so taken by the fabness of the boots that I hardly see anything else! Glad you got the CPW on the dress down a little bit.

#2 looks comfy/ cozy and great. Interesting that so many of us are not wanting to accessorize as much. Angie is a real leader here.

Do you feel that sizing up 2 sizes in the Always skinny gave you a BF look you like? (Hard to see so that is not a veiled critique but a genuine question!)

Suz - I actually printed the pics you first posted of your haircut and I bring them every time I go for a reference (when I've forgotten them, things get changed ever so slightly!) And yes, I do like the Gap AS for my shape. They feel very easy to wear - giving me the space I need for my hips and thighs and narrowing enough at the ankle. I'm not liking myself in the full out baggy BF

BethAnn - I like it worn sleeveless best as it showcases the colorblock. But am afraid to put it away for the winter. It might look 'SO 2012' by spring!

Your colorblock dress looks great with the blazer and I'm glad you're getting to wear it, but I have a feeling colorblocking isn't going away any time soon! I love your button necked sweater in #2. I love that kind of interest up by the face; it's super flattering. And hooray for sized-up skinnies. Still a really nice taper to the ankles. You look great, dim light and all. Hang in there, the days are getting longer!

The dress looks great on you, especially how you have styled it! I wonder what it is you are not 100% in love with. The red adds a nice pop of colour which goes well with your colouring.

The second outfit is relaxed and chic. I especially like the sweater's colour and design.

I hope to see more of the CK dress, because it looks awesome and definitely cool-weather appropriate. I wonder if you could layer a blouse underneath for a different winter look?

You're all onto something with the colorblock dress. . .I feel fine when I wear it, when don't readily select it. . . it's a pretty strong statement all on its own and I wonder what part that plays . . .hmmmm.

kelly - you're the master of casual chic and I only hope to channel a bit of that

emily - I'll try something under and hope it doesn't look too jumper-ish (I have poison-eye for jumpers!)
