WIW – While Waiting for Spring

So, it snowed yesterday, and we are supposed to get more snow by the end of the week. *sigh* But I am ready for spring!

I wore my new Vince Camuto floraw skirt, topped with my Classiques Entiers jacket. I am wearing tights and sorta ballet flats instead of boots. I layered a black scoop neck under the jacket to bookend the tights and shoes.

Not sure if I am just adjusting my eyes to no boots or if the outfit is missing something. Honesty please! When I get good comments from YLF, I tend to repeat the outfit quite a bit

Your new skirt is so pretty, Thistle, and it looks nice with the blue jacket

Do you have some sheerer black tights? Or even some nude hose? That would look a little springier with the floral skirt, while still providing some warmth. I think the opaque tights look a little too heavy.

I hear you about being SO ready for spring!

the skirt and blue color are so lovely on you. The floral print says it's spring. I see nothing missing, but you might try Parsley's hose ideas to see what you think. It would be even more spring-like.

I just bought a pair of nude hose from Nordstrom's. But with today's high of 46F, and it was 34F when I went to work, I opted for the tights for warmth.

When it does warm up, I am thinking nude hose and nude flats.

I really like this outfit on you; the blues are beautiful. It's also nice to see you wearing flats! Have you thought about trying hosiery with a bit more sheer to it? I think that would lighten up the bottom half of the outfit a bit.

This looks absolutely lovely on you. And when it stops snowing you can switch to nude hose, a lighter shoe and a lighter top underneath. Then it will really be spring! (Don't we wish...)

I love the color combination and think the print and bold color combo is a great formula for you.

I am sorry that snow is in the forecast for your and understand your desire to be done with winter -like weather (and snow boots!).

Honestly, with the weather forecast lately, I haven't even started bringing out summer items yet. I know I need to do an inventory, but it is so hard to even think about it when the snow won't leave!
