WIW – Spring Green

Spring looks like it is finally here! Highs today might actually touch 70. Wearing a spring green Maggy London wrap dress, Clark Sandals, and a Talbots cami to celebrate. And bare legs!! Yeah, they glow in the dark. I am going to stick by mantra “pale is pretty too”!

I will be honest, not feeling it in this dress that I loved such a short time ago. Be honest, is the frump factor in play here? If so, is there anything I can do to de-frump?

I think the dress looks nice on you although maybe lighter shoes would look a little better. I think the black looks a little harsh. I like the spring-y green color of the dress. Yay for warmer weather!

I tried on this dress just the other day Thistle - it is so lovely and I was definitely tempted.

I don't see frump factor at all - the dress is incredibly flattering on you both in color and in fit. I think Sara's suggestion of a lighter shoe/sandal might help. I find the black a bit jarring with this dress.

Yay for bare legs - and pale is pretty for sure!

I think you look terrific and not frumpy at all, but perhaps camel or nude shoes would lighten the look a bit more? Really, that's just nitpicking, though.

Oh my goodness, I sure don't see any frumpiness here, Thistle! You look great in that dress, and the color is really pretty on you.
And hooray for bare legs and sandals! Let's hope spring is here to stay.
I agree with the others that a lighter sandal would look good, but that's a minor detail.

Dress is not frump at all, but has to be rather worn with lighter coloured/tan for you or grey), comfy 1"heel(or wedge) low wamp shoes, or sandals.
That will help a lot!

The dress is lovely, I don't see any frump. I agree with the others that lighter sandals might be better, but these work too. I only own black sandals at the moment and I wore them last summer with everything (and my just as pale legs).

Echoing the others, the color is very pretty on you and the shape is quite flattering. I do think a lighter shoe would be perfect.

I am agreeing with the others, I don't see frumpy at all. I think it is a great dress for you. I don't mind the dark shoes although light could also be good.

You know, sometimes we see a photo of us standing still and the clothes we're wearing just don't seem to cut it. I think it's because when we are standing still, they lack movement, animation, vitality, spirit, whatever you call it. I bet you look great in this outfit when you are wearing it because you are so full of life! And that's what it takes, baby! Now go have some fun in your very cool green dress.

Love the wrap dress - you are the Queen of Wrap Dresses (pretty sure you've heard that one before). I think the sophistication level of the dress doesn't quite synch with the casual vibe of the shoes but only in a really minor way.

Nothing frumpy at all! You look great in this dress. Maybe you are just getting used to looking so incredibly fabulous that you are fine tuning your fabulous-viewing-skills and picking up on the fact that you want lighter shoes with this? The sandals are lovely, but they come up high on your leg and are a dark color, both of which make the eye stop abruptly with them. Nothing wrong with the shoes--I really like them and I love this kind of shoe with shorts or something well above the knee. You probably are just feeling the call of spring saying lighten up the footwear. You reached for sandals, which makes sense. But your eye is telling you your light flats, which are a little more refined, are more what you want with this dress. You still look incredible!

This dress does not look frumpy. It looks fresh! But you are not used to seeing yourself with all that bared flesh, LOL! I agree a lighter toned sandal might be nice, if you have it. Or even red!! Or, dare I say it, fuchsia?

Thistle - this wrap dress is lovely on you. While I agree with the others that a lighter sandal would be nice, am I right in thinking you have had some shoe issues lately and that you are having a tough time finding what you need for footwear? If you've got the black sandals for now, what about a black necklace or black/green necklace (even with a black cami) so that you are bookending the black in some way? Even a small black earring would bookend the sandals. Or a black blazer.... or a black cami.... either with scrunched sleeves.... I think there are lots of options. Keep on looking fab, girlfriend!
