WIW – Another Four Inches of Snow

So, with another four inches of snow coming our way, I sadly did not participate in the dress challenge. I liked the outfit better without the jacket, but I added it for the warmth factor.

I am basically a walking model for Talbots today other than the Ecco booties.

Any comments on how to bring the outfit to the next level would be much appreciated.

You look great! I especially love that dark green on you. The only thing I can think of adding is a necklace. I also think adding a different shoe color (gray, perhaps?) would elevate everything just a touch. But really, you look fabulous already.

That green is lovely on you! I like it both with and without the jacket. I wonder if you prefer it without because the jacket cuts off your waist definition? Maybe a tonal belt in the green color will increase your happiness factor with the jacket on? (Belt the top, not the jacket.)

You look great in that lovely shade of green. If you really feel the need to tweek the style a bit then you could play with different shoes, add jewelry or belt as Stacey said but really you look lovely as is.

That said, I'm going to offer up a suggestion as to how you might up your style quotient and I hope you won't throw a virtual tomato at me. Okay, here goes:

Haircut.

You have lovely hair, but it's not pulling its weight with your increasingly-fabulous wardrobe. Angie has emphasized the importance of re-evaluating our haircut and specs (if we wear them) on our style journeys and I think she's right. I'm still trying to find the right specs and am considering a major hair change myself because I think my style progression needs it!

The hair just needs a little something more to keep up with your overall look. Does that make sense? You look wonderful and should not take my suggestion to mean that you don't (the last thing I want to do is make you self-conscious!). But I think you might find that making a few (even minor) changes on top provides the finishing touch.

Anne - I am going in for a haircut today. *gulp* I am hoping the stylist can help with suggestions! I agree, it needs to change, but I have no idea based on pictures what the maintenance level will be.

As I have mentioned before, I have about 5 minutes or so to "do" my hair, three of them with a toddler tugging on my knees

I am really hoping my stylist will have suggestions!

I echo the others- you look great in green!

As to your hair, just taking off a couple of inches of length would really freshen it, especially if you added some light long layers. Long layers aren't any more trouble to style but they will give you a bit more movement. You could add just a bit of product to the roots to give it a bit of "oomph" and you are good to go in just a few minutes!

The wrap top is just fantastic on you and the jacket is the perfect finishing touch. I've designated that green my colour of winter 12/13, I just love it. Great outfit!

Beautiful! And unless you're an earring person, the only suggestion I would offer is that you could add some earrings. But otherwise, you are fabulous!

If I wear earrings, I have to remember to pack them and slip them on at work as my DD likes to pull them!

I used to have a nice selection. I have packed most away until she outgrows her magpie stage!

Love you in a wrap top and green is so flattering with your coloring. Are your eyes green? They look like it. Both my children have green eyes and green always makes their eyes pop.

Please send snow to Kansas! We are in a drought and have had very low precip. for the last couple of years.
The green is amazing on you and the great fit of your pieces make this a winner. With your green eyes, you'll need to stock up while the color is popular.
