Today I recreated two Pinterest outfits from elements already in my closet - and wore them - sort of!

Look #1 (copycat of #2) was for an early morning dental appointment. I did not actually wear the beret, nor carry the faux-fur blanket to the dentist, but I did need the jean jacket for the AC at the dentist’s, and used the canvas tote to carry my purchases after a quick visit to a local bookstore.

Pic #3 is what I changed into for spending the day in the garden doing maintenance (deadheading, hand watering, pest control).

Pic #4 (inspo #5) is what I’m wearing out to play bridge at the community centre tonight. I did change to a duplicate white T after my post garden clean-up. The jacket is required for the centre’s AC.

I have no idea what the models’ in pic #2 have tucked in their bags to provide the interesting fur texture, do you? Apparently LLBean and Lands’ End canvas bags like the second model’s are a hot trend at thrift. You can still get them from the original vendors too, of course. I have some XXL ones that are 30+ yo that are used for the weekly grocery shop.

The skirt is a lightweight thing I purchased last minute to wear to a late summer funeral when I realized my ‘funeral dress’ would be too hot. With no cooling in the church, I was glad to have it.

So how did I do?
