I spotted this red based Hawaiian shirt from the ‘70’s (!) in the window of a local boutique that does curated thrift and supplements with some local crafts. I like the aesthetic of the shop very much, and the prices are quite fair. Earlier in the summer I found Hawaiian shirts for the DS’s (cotton, silk, and made in Hawaii) but I didn’t pick up the red shirt - even though DH enabled.

The shirt kept haunting my thoughts. Then I noted at the beginning of August it disappeared from the window…and was moved to a summer sale rack! I snapped it up, and after laundering and a press have got it into rotation. Seeing it in my closet makes me happy, and wearing it even happier

#1 how I wore it for grocery shopping with DH
#2 later in the same day for messing around in the garden
#3 I’ve always loved how Angie used to sneak in food pics with her Polyvore outfit pics - some tomatoes and garlic for outfit inspo!
or, #4 some of this year’s pots in my garden!

I’m going to try the shirt over a 1)column of white, 2) a column of black, 3) white tank and medium fade jeans, maybe 4) the green pleather pants. The red of the shirt does not work with the red of my pleated skirt.

Thanks for looking!
