After making it through the first two years of the pandemic without sweats, I’ve capitulated I really like the new Lululemon navy joggers, and decided to take a break from my usual jeans style. The fabric of the joggers has a sheen that makes them look ‘dressy’. Also debuting a new flannel button down (#2) and cotton knit sweater (#3).

I like these on you --- they look quite crisp (for joggers). I especially like them with the cableknit sweater!

I got two pairs of joggers at the start of the pandemic too, because it seemed like what we should be doing, but now I really just use them to slip on under my nightie when I wake up in the morning. I couldn't ever style them to feel like I wasn't in jammies.

But man, do you make them look cool! This is a master class in styling joggers!

They do look a nice fabric. I do question whether any pants with elastic bottoms at the ankle can look “dressy” though- not in my book.
You look casual to me- nice casual. I would never wear those outfits to my professional job, for instance.

It looks great on you - I like the first one the best ( all work very well ).
I think your hair, glasses and nice posture add certain dressy/classic feel to the outfits - somewhat soft and sophisticated. I would look just sporty in the same outfits .

These looks fantastic on you Carla ... they fit into your style perfectly and look very polished. Lulul is another one of those brands I've always resisted due to 'brand-iness' and price-point, but they really do make great clothing - good quality and fab fits.

Very good fit! Which ones are thes ? They have so many!
I just like joggers in general, even before pandemic, and keep an eye out for interesting fabrics and tailoring - if tailored jogger is not an oxymoron. Meaning, flatter waistbands, sometimes tucking or pleating that makes less waist bulk and gathers.

Fabulous looks! These fit beautifully into your wardrobe. I agree that joggers are such a nice break from jeans. I have several pairs, including two in heathered wool that are 8 years old and going strong, that I wear to my professional job without hesitation--I wore a pair just Monday, with a blazer, and felt fab. Fabrication and drape are key, IMHO.

I wear sweat pants now, too. And I didn’t during the pandemic. Buying and wearing gear for my new athletic activities made it somehow more acceptable. I’ll take a look at Lulu, thanks to you believe it or not, I’ve been inside of a store only once.

@ Helena - I don’t get much at Lululemon, but what I’ve bought has lasted years and years: In The Groove shorts (from w-a-y back) were my favourites for running, when they discontinued that line I didn’t shop there until I got a pair of On The Fly pants that I wore 118 times before the rear got sheer! The new joggers are my third pair of pants. (I snagged a pair of cropped OTF on sale earlier this year.) The men folk have converted over to their long leg boxers, and DS#2 has 5 pair of their ABC pants for work. The men folk have a few tops apiece with the 5 yr T-shirt being a favourite. I have yet to toss any of the guys’ Lulu items, and some of them are 8 yo and in high rotation.

@ Suz - I’m liking the sweater a lot. The length of the hem, and the way it is split at the sides, makes a perfect semi-tuck! $10 well spent!

These look like refined joggers and they seem to integrate really well into your current wardrobe.
I like the three outfits but have a slight preference for the firts one. The sweater seems to have the perfect amount of slouch to look chic( is chic an oldfashioned word? )

I love these! And I love how you’ve styled them.

The pandemic made me a convert to this type of jogger as well. Comfy dresses up, dresses down…washes easily.

Yes, I know what you mean - it is easier to elevate sweats/joggers now that I am out and about. Anyway, these are fantastic on you. Love the new pieces too.

I've been wearing joggers a lot lately, I admit, but not nearly as stylishly as you! I'm inspired to try to up my jogger game. I especially like them with that sweater. I'm wondering what to do when it's too cold to have bare ankles (which will probably happen here in Minnesota next week). Any thoughts about that? Will I have to relegate jogger to at-home wear with cozy socks and slippers?

I agree - I have purchased 5 things total from Lululemon and 4 have been absolute winners that have lasted years and years and years! And even the 5th would have had 20-30 wears in one year before I gave it to a friend who is shorter than me and who wore it better!!

Have to go over to Lululemon now, in spite of the high price point. You make this look like those joggers would make a great home and errand running uniform. Bit sleeker than mine!

@ Sara - I’m thinking tucked into lace up combat boots in winter, though my thoughts behind getting them in the first place was to change into them after being out of doors! They are just turning out to be more versatile.

@ suntiger - these are actually my first jogger style (with the gathered ankle) ever! They are slightly higher waisted then the OTF, in my opinion.
