Got my hair cut in the morning, then had a fun day at a local town event called ‘Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny’.

In ‘celebration’ of a flood on the Ganaraska River that runs down the middle of town, and subsequent engineering work that was done to prevent future floods (due to spring ice jams) the town hosts a boating event before the fishing season opens. Kayaks and canoes first, then decorated ‘crazy craft’ with paddlers in costume. A festival atmosphere with a fair set up on both sides of the river, and a bridge closed to automobile traffic, but open for pedestrians.

It was cold in the am, but temps got up to 12degC.
