The agenda for today included a walk into town for various errands (library, post office), checking out the thrift shops and the indi book store, and getting a mani. Later, DH and I will be heading out for dinner with friends at a very casual restaurant.
I want to get more wear out of the new honey-beige silky skirt, so was trying to find a top that worked. Solids felt a little ‘blah’ so I tried it over a thrifted dress from last summer. The skirt isn’t tight, so it fits easily over the dress - which acts like a slip. No lumps or bumps, and not too warm. The jacket was needed for A/C and I feel that along with the sneakers creates juxtaposition with the dressiness of the skirt and ‘top’. For dinner out, I’m switching up footwear, and will wear the yellow sling backs.
