This is casual in the extreme, for a longer than usual hike about town. It’s been dense fog all day- what DH calls ‘ablation fog’. We got snow yesterday, but temps are a couple of degrees above freezing - so snow goes straight to vapour, instead of liquid.

Tired of winter coats, I washed my heavy duty puffer and it’s been packed away in seasonal storage. Two lightweight/micro puffers provided all the warmth I needed today, without restricting movement, and the new Blundstones have impressed with their ability to withstand slushy snow and puddles.

I’ve been having fun layering puffers under coats or other puffers, and believe they are the solution for the next 4-6 weeks of transitional weather.
